I normally book newborn sessions weeks, if not months, in advance, but when this mama reached out last week asking if I happened to have any availability, I took a look at my calendar and realized I could squeeze her in. 🤍

Newborn photos can so easily become one of those things that gets pushed to the side in the whirlwind of pregnancy, delivery, and bringing a new little life home. I’m so glad the timing worked out and I was able to make room for them this week. Getting to meet and photograph sweet little Russell was such a treat. 🤍

Imposter syndrome is real.

The devil has a way of whispering lies that make us question the things God has already placed on our hearts.

When I first felt called to create content days, I sat on the idea for a long time. I convinced myself no one would come, no one would be interested, and maybe I just wasn’t the person to do it. I’m so grateful I finally stopped listening to the fear and took the leap anyway.

Creating a space where photographers can come together, fellowship, connect, and create beautiful work has become so special to me. These days come straight from my heart, and there is so much thought, time, and intention poured into every little detail. I don’t take any of it—or the people who choose to be a part of it—lightly.

And apparently, I don’t want to wait another whole year to do it again. 🤍

So, I’ve been quietly working behind the scenes on something new…

WOVEN: Winter Workshop — coming January 2027.

I cannot WAIT to show you what I have planned. 🥹

MATERNITY MODEL CALL!

In return for modeling, you’ll receive a full gallery of images from me at no cost. Here is the criteria:

* Must be available January 15, 2027
* Should be between 30-35 weeks pregnant
* Must be comfortable with being photographed by multiple photographers
* Must be open to full styling & creative direction
* Must be comfortable with images being shared online & on social media
* Must sign a model release
* Must be willing to follow the creative vision for the session

- Must be comfortable to have these done in your home
- Home must be located within 30 miles of Petal, MS
- Home mush have great natural lighting and neutral colored walls.
- Must be comfortable with being photographed by multiple photographers
- Must be open to full styling & creative direction
- Must be comfortable with images being shared online & on social media
- Must sign a model release
- Must be willing to follow the creative vision for the session

For this one, we kept it simple — a family, the beach, and room for the kids to just be kids. Nothing about this session was overly forced, just documenting them exactly as they are in this season.

This is always where the good stuff happens — somewhere between the movement, the playing, and the moments you couldn’t plan if you tried. It’s exactly what we wanted the refined side of the weekend series to feel like. 🤍
