I'm in a spot where I need to earn some extra cash. I'm contemplating doing two different things, both Photography related.

1. Set up a day to do professional head shots for people. Book in 15 minute time slots at a local place where I can have a clean back drop indoors

2. Set up a day for a quick family session. Book every half hour, and do 20-25 minutes worth of posing and shoots. Mix up the subjects as much as you like for that 20-25 minutes.

Both come with a release to use / print how you wish.

What would you expect to pay for either of those?

To make it simple.

I would pay $50 for 1 and $100 for 2.

Studio Mendota Photography had a great idea to help High School seniors at Two Rivers HS get a free senior photo to make sure they were in the yearbook. It is such a moving idea that I had to do it myself.

Oct. 12, from 10-4, I will be in the Hastings Community TV studios in HHS with their awesome staff taking pictures for seniors that otherwise would not be able to get their pictures done.

This is totally free for the families.

To add to this, Walgreens has agreed to hook us up with a BOGO deal for prints.

Two 8x10 prints, out the door around $6.75 for two sheets. I would LOVE to give each student a minimum of 2 prints. One full 8x10, and one 8x10 with smaller prints they can cut out. I have no clue how many kids I will see, so I am guessing at 20-30.

30 kids at $6.75 is just over $200. This is where you can help locally. Here is my Venmo.

I will get as many 8x10s possible that gets each kid 2,3,4 sheets depending on donations and any money that comes in extra will be donated to the United Way’s Food 4 Kids program here in Hastings.

Carbone's Pizza, Hastings, Mn. is going to feed the volunteers lunch.

This whole thing is just so freaking amazing and I am so proud of the community for jumping on this last minute idea.

Hastings Raiders vs St. Thomas Academy 11/6/2020. Hastings fought hard but fell 49-21. This was also Homecoming night for HHS. Here are some of the 400+ pics I grabbed tonight.

Note. Taking Pictures under certain, older LED lights is a pain. The red tones you see in some pictures like a red wave going through them is the slow cycle time of the older LED lights. I'm still learning to edit it out.

For us older folks, remember taking pictures of the old tube TVs how you would get the line in them? same thing.
