On October 10th, 2026, Newark Fire Department, along with Rhome Fire, Haslet Fire, Wise County ESD 1, Wise County EMS, and law enforcement responded to a reported structure fire along County Road 4871 in Newark, Texas.

Chief 16 arrived on scene and reported a large barn with heavy smoke showing, starting a working fire.

On October 10th, 2026, Irving Fire Department and Irving Police Department responded to a vehicle fire following a motor vehicle accident on westbound State Highway 183 at O’Connor Road in Irving, Texas.

Irving Fire Engine 4, Medic 4, Truck 2, Blocker 2, and Battalion 1 responded to the scene.

The extent of any injuries is currently unknown.

Seven Dallas Police units responded to the scene, along with Dallas Fire-Rescue Engine 47 and Rescue 47. One person was transported to a local hospital.

On October 7th, 2026, Fort Worth Fire and police responded to a major accident on westbound Interstate 30 near East Loop 820.

According to radio traffic, one person was reported deceased after crews performed CPR. The I-30 westbound express lanes toward downtown Fort Worth were closed while police investigated the crash.

The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.

— Fatal Plane Crash —
On October 7th, 2026, at approximately 9:50am, Fort Worth Fire and police responded to a plane crash near West Bonds Ranch Road and Thatcher Road, near Hicks Airfield.

Crews arrived to find a small plane fully involved in fire with power lines down. The pilot, who was the only person onboard, died in the crash. A small grass fire caused by the crash was extinguished.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
