Oh hey, that’s me 😊 it’s been a while since I’ve done an intro, I’ve had it on my to do list for a while but honestly feels so silly to do especially when the same few people see my posts (hi mom and MIL!)
Anyway, my name is Kendall and I have been a photographer since picking up my camera to take my daughters newborn photos 12 years ago. Even as a kid and teen I always had a disposable or point and shoot camera and loved taking photos with friends, so I guess it’s always been the path meant for me. Baby and family photography are my thing, I’ve tried other niches but babies will always be my favorite subjects. Kendall Kuss Photography was previously known as Birth & Beyond by Kendall, and before that Kendall Captures. It’s crazy I have been doing this for 12 years!
Other than photography I love gardening, flowers are my favorite thing and I will 100% include them in your photos if I see any. My husband and I have spent the last 6 months renovating an 1880s house and that has consumed all our free time, but we are so close to having the hard parts of the renovation done. And I cannot wait to design my new home studio space! Spring and summer are by far my favorite seasons, if I’m not working I am either in the garden, at one of my kids sports events or at the lake with my kids.
Being a mom of now tweens/teens makes me miss those baby and toddler stages so much, yes even the chaos of it. But every age is fun and worth documenting, even as a photographer myself I regret not taking more photos of my family through the years. So take it from me, schedule the photos or at least get in the cell phone pics, and make sure you print them!!

Family photos aren’t just for when your kiddos are little! It’s crazy to me that some of my first clients from when I started out photography 10/11 years ago, now have kids in high school! Did you know I also offer high school senior photos? Sneaking in a family photo at your senior session is a must if you can get everyone together! 😊 I know how busy these high school teens are, but don’t skip this age for family photos or your next ones will be at one of their weddings! 😳
