Happy Holidays! Finally got out my camera and took some photos of ornaments on the Christmas tree. They're mostly pop culture ornaments, but I see no problem with that.

I've been super busy at work and I also got a new laptop as my old one was having issues. Haven't had anything but an Apple for 6 or 7 years so it's a big change. Photoshop won't let me transfer my editing presets or actions which I use to apply my watermark to multiple photos. I'll have to find a better way to do that, but I wanted to post these so it's going to have to wait. Otherwise, it's good to have a working computer! Christmas was nice! We had some family over for a pasta dinner and exchanged gifts. And now, it's not much longer until 2024.

My time at Rhode Island Comic Con. I missed the photo op with Squidward while dressed as SpongeBob so I ended up getting a table photo with him that day. He also signed Bold and Brash which was really cool. They re-scheduled my photo op with Squidward to Sunday so that's why there are two photos with him. I got to meet the Futurama cast briefly during a photoshoot. All but one of them is in the show Disenchantment which I'm still watching. Some of them were a part of the Twisted Toons panel where the voice actors acted out scenes from W***y Wonka and the Chocolate Factory while voicing different characters. It was hilarious! I also went to the Futurama Reunion and listened to them talk about re-uniting for new Futurama episodes.

I got to meet John Ratzenberger whose voice is iconic and is in every Pixar film so far! He said he doesn't work with them anymore, but it was nice while it lasted.

Lots of people recognized me as SpongeBob and Batgirl. Had some pretty funny and great encounters! I even took a picture with a cosplayer dressed as DoodleBob (not pictured). When I went to buy some chocolate, one of the employees recited a long SpongeBob quote. It was amazing!

The art at the con was unbelievable this year! So many incredible artists! I bought an Across the Spider-Verse exclusive print by Kirk Manley (studiokm.com) and an Avatar: The Last Airbender gold foil print by Kirseel (kirseel.art) along with a cool Sailboat shadowbox charm.

Overall, I had a great time, but I think driving back and forth for 2 days while being tired was a bit much. I'll only go one day going forward, but it'll be enough to see most of the con. Hopefully I can talk to and get an autograph from John DiMaggio in the future. I tried multiple times, but the line was closed each time. Other than those few nit-picky things, I enjoyed the con and got to meet some really cool people and cosplayers!

✨I'll be at Rhode Island Comic Con this weekend! On Saturday, I'll be walking around as Spongebob. On Sunday, I'm appearing as Batgirl. There are a few photo ops I'm going to and I can't wait to meet some celebrities! I'm also curious to see what other cosplays people will be wearing. If you're going, see you there! 😃✨

The Spider-Verse photoshoot at ConnectiCon. I was the Gwen with the aqua headphones. I was really happy to be a part of this especially since I ended up getting there late and thought I might have missed it.

As you can see, lots of spider people showed up and we got some really cool photos. I love the perspective of the chasing Miles one! And of course we had to do the pointing-at-each-other photo!

The Owl House and Disney photoshoot at ConnectiCon. Eda's costume needed a lot of sewing. It was my first time sewing wigs together, but it came out great! The bright red dress was one that I altered. I had to dye a white skirt pink because I couldn't find one in the shade I needed. My friend sewed King's crown to the plushie and she also did my makeup. I got the arm socks from We Love Colors and glued fake fingernails on them. The arm socks saved me so much time! Instead of having to paint my arms, I just had to slip them on. I found these bottle lights that had a cork on the top of them and decided to put one into a potion bottle. I swished some orange gallery glass in the bottle as it was semi-transparent and would be perfect for having a potion glow orange.

There were a lot of people at the photoshoot and I got to see so many different interpretations of the same characters. The cosplays were all unique.

While wearing Eda, I was stopped the most out of the whole weekend. Lots of people enjoyed my version of the character. The only problems with the cosplay were the shoes and that the wig kept sliding back because it was rather heavy. In general, I don't wear high heels and got blisters on my feet. I had to take lots of sitting breaks that day because my feet hurt.

Regardless, I had a pretty good time and got to see and listen to a lot of cool stuff.

Photos I took at ConnectiCon. I was in cosplay so it was difficult to take pictures, but I got some. I went as Batgirl, Eda the Owl Lady ( did my makeup), and Spider Gwen. I went to some photoshoots, an Arcane panel and a Barbie panel, took photos with lots of people, listened to a band called Lame Genie perform, and saw some cosplay wrestling (I'll have another post with photos from that). I'll also post the pictures ConnectiCon photographers took in a separate post. Had a good time! On Saturday, it was packed. The parking garage was full which has never happened any of the times I've been there.

My ConnectiCon Lineup for 2023! Can't wait to see everyone! On Friday, I'm going as Batgirl with different gloves. On Saturday, I'll be Eda The Owl Lady. On Sunday, I'm going as Spider Gwen with the aqua converse she has in the Across the Spider-Verse movie. I'm tired from the con crunch, but happy I finished Eda in time even with work in between. See you there if you're going, too!

This is the last group of the Star Wars figures photoshoot. I'm glad I was able to find these good locations in my backyard. The amount of detail on these figures is crazy. They look so good!
