My wife gave me the best complement I could get as a street photographer: ā€œYou see things that others donā€™tā€

This is where it all startedā€¦.I really, really want to start putting my face in front of the camera and start telling you the journey, but itā€™s so hard for me to do that. I hope it happens before the summer ends.

Itā€™s just a different vibe!
I was so ready to go midtown around midnight and instead, I decided to stay in Harlem and Iā€™m so glad I did. Everyone knew everyone, we were all friends and we were all happy. I love this neighborhood and I love this city! šŸŒƒ

Tomada desde la Plaza Mayor, sentĆ­ como si el sol me susurrara que volteara, que no siguiera de largo. La luz caĆ­a con una intenciĆ³n casi humana, como si la naturaleza hubiera colocado sus propios strobes para dibujar los claroscuros. Las nubes difuminaron los rayos del sol y el amor me regalĆ³ esa pareja para lograr una composiciĆ³n que solamente pasĆ³ por 1 segundo, Ć³ 2.

Las Setas, Sevilla.

A solo walk on a day as hot as any in my home country, Nicaragua. I arrived early to explore the immersive experience, and a few things stayed with me:

ā€“ It is the largest wooden structure in the world.
ā€“ Inspired by the vaults of the Seville Cathedral and the giant ficus trees.
ā€“ For every tree felled for the project, three were planted

But beyond the facts, thereā€™s something else. In these images I captured I noticed the curves, and the way it holds space with a quite femininity in it that feels both grounded and poetic.

Full circle in the strangest way! One of my first street photos back in 2017 was also a man on a bike in New Haven. Different story thoughā€¦ he flipped me off the second he saw the camera.
Thatā€™s part of street photography - you step into peopleā€™s space, and sometimes they push back with the undeniable reality that they will remain in someoneā€™s memory and probably will never see each other again.
