Madrid 2024….esta va en español.

Tomada desde la Plaza Mayor, sentí como si el sol me susurrara que volteara, que no siguiera de largo. La luz caía con una intención casi humana, como si la naturaleza hubiera colocado sus propios strobes para dibujar los claroscuros. Las nubes difuminaron los rayos del sol y el amor me regaló esa pareja para lograr una composición que solamente pasó por 1 segundo, ó 2.

Las Setas, Sevilla.

A solo walk on a day as hot as any in my home country, Nicaragua. I arrived early to explore the immersive experience, and a few things stayed with me:

– It is the largest wooden structure in the world.
– Inspired by the vaults of the Seville Cathedral and the giant ficus trees.
– For every tree felled for the project, three were planted

But beyond the facts, there’s something else. In these images I captured I noticed the curves, and the way it holds space with a quite femininity in it that feels both grounded and poetic.

Sevilla, 2024.
Full circle in the strangest way! One of my first street photos back in 2017 was also a man on a bike in New Haven. Different story though… he flipped me off the second he saw the camera.
That’s part of street photography - you step into people’s space, and sometimes they push back with the undeniable reality that they will remain in someone’s memory and probably will never see each other again.

Creating the content is sometimes the easy part, but keeping to the task of posting it, now that’s the hard part. Consistency is extremely difficult, but totally worth it.
