🎸 Hey bands, let me shoot you!

It’s fair season, which means I’ve been spending a lot of time in front of stages, chasing good light and dancing to great music.

I recently photographed TSR (Thankful Soul Revival) at the Lebanon Fair, and it reminded me how much I love photographing musicians in their element.

I’ve been a professional photographer for 14 years, and I know how to find the moments that make a photo feel alive, not just the ones where everyone happens to be looking at the camera.

Good band photos matter. They’re often the first thing people see when they discover you; on your socials, website, flyers, press releases, album artwork, and everywhere in between.

I want to capture the energy, personality, chaos, sweat, ridiculous guitar faces, and everything that makes your band your band.

Ilana Glazer last week at The Academy of Music in Northampton, MA, with Dan St. Germain opening the stage.

I’ve been to almost every venue in Northampton, but I’ve shockingly never been to Academy of Music Theatre. The details of this theater are so beautiful I was obsessed.

Confession….I live under rocks and I had no idea who Ilana was until this gig. I dove into her podcast while I was editing and loved it. Several of you recommended Broad City so I started binge watching that this week. Thank y’all for that, it’s hilarious! Such an accurate (although exaggerated) representation of the millennial in their 20s experience and girl friendships.

Photos are finished! I'll be emailing links to full galleries to everyone who sent me an email tomorrow. Y'all made it easy to capture the moments, but choosing which ones to keep was a grueling process. Just over 3,000 photos in the final count, only took 85hrs of editing. Hopefully I got it all! - Jackie
