Hurricane Waves at Sakonnet Lighthouse
My photograph is currently showing in Wickford Art Association's gallery exhibit "Behind the Lens" until April 12th in Wickford, Rhode Island. This framed and matted print is available for sale in the gallery if you visit or on my website.

Photographed on August 21, 2025 when Hurricane Erin pushed waves onto Rhode Island's shoreline, Sakonnet Lighthouse off the shore of Little Compton was hit with decent waves even at low tide time. On the beach you view the lighthouse from, there are large rocks along the shore where the waves were breaking on and creating a tall spray. With the goal to frame the lighthouse with the spray coming up from sides of it, I got my camera as low to the ground and as close to the water (without being hit by waves) to get the spray height lined up with the lighthouse combined with a compressed view on my telephoto lens. However, the waves hitting the lighthouse directly to create that large crash behind the lighthouse was not occurring at the same exact time the shoreline spray was. I then took the two photos containing both sprays to make a composite to show the full effect of the hurricane pushing the ocean towards land on that afternoon.

Recently had the privilege to be interviewed by MyRadar in regard to big changes toward the National Weather Service SPC regarding intensify based forecasting and how this goes into the social/public communication expects of warnings.

In the past, color contours mostly only showed probability, or essentially how widespread storms would be (areal coverage). Now, added layers of hatched/significant risk will depict anticipated intensity

Bass Harbor Head Light View
A newly trimmed view to frame the iconic lighthouse in Acadia, a view I think we all wanted. Visiting this lighthouse is not for everyone, myself included. While you still have to wait for a parking spot, creating this view makes it more accessible for everyone since the classic coastline view is difficult to navigate. Getting this shot with no one else here, freshly fallen snow, and the sun making a slight appearance made for an experience I appreciate having.

Coastal Red
Not one, not two, but three red buildings next to each other in a snowy coastal town in Maine! I think that checks off every box. As it was still snowing, the already snow-filled landscape became the perfect backdrop for these buildings to be vibrant main subjects.

Northern lights over Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park on 1/20/26 🌌
After photographing sunset, it was forecasted that we would be able to see the northern lights just after. Immediately after setting up our camera in this spot, the lights became visible to eye. The lights danced, wiggled, pulsed, and shot out from the dip in the mountain range due north. The only thing preventing us from staying out all night to shoot was the fact that it was so terribly cold and this spot was essentially a wind tunnel. It was truly a spectacular sight to see as it was close to reaching overhead.

Snapshots of our vacation in Maine before work fills our schedules again! All of Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park was truly blanketed in white snow Monday-Wednesday. Every single branch no matter how small it was on every tree held a few inches of snow since there was no wind, making the entire landscape white. And we got a super special feature of northern lights on both nights! Needless to say, I have a lot of photos to edit! ❄️

My top 25 photos of 2025! It’s been a good photo year with a lot of travel and putting a lot of work into different locations and improving my photography. I have absolutely nothing planned for 2026 but I’m excited for whatever i’ll classically decide on last minute to shoot! 📸💛🥳
