Casey Erin Photography Harrisonburg, VA I fell in love with traveling all around the state with the hopes to one day travel more both in and outside of the USA. My drink of choice?

Though I was born and raised in the small and casual town of Penn Laird, Virginia, you might find me anywhere from enjoying a campfire by the lake or touring the streets of NYC. I’m currently in Harrisonburg, VA. I’m a lover, a friend, a daughter, a sister, a Christian, and definitely a bit of a foodie. Favorite food: Vietnamese Pho, Sushi, or mostly any form of Asian, Mexican, or Italian cuisine.

A Moscow Mule or maybe just give me an Old Fashioned on the rocks! I love to explore the downtown regions of mostly any city with my husband, Mike, and we almost always find the very best mom and pop shops! We love to explore together so much that we actually do not buy each other Christmas gifts, we just book a one or two night stay somewhere in the city and enjoy various Christmas-towns instead. By the way, my advice for couples will always be to marry your best friend. On my days off you might find us hanging out with our daughter, Audrey, at a farmers’ market or out exploring!

Feeling incredibly honored today!!

My work was not only featured in She Shoots Magazine, but I was chosen for the front cover of their Milestone Edition. Thank you so much, She Shoots Magazine for celebrating women behind the camera and for giving my work a place to shine. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and excited to see my images in this format.

What a milestone! Of course I purchased a print copy to have for myself. 🤗

Who knew the impromptu session that Mike Collins and I did when we first bought this house would make it this far and become so important to us. 😘 This was one of many important milestones that year & a moment we will always treasure.

30 minute condensed family session at the JMU arboretum. So fun when folks take advantage of my off-season minis package. For repeat clients I am lenient with delivery and try to give more of a full gallery rather than the promised handful of images.

Entry Level Photography Workshop !!

If you are a new and aspiring photographer and want to learn the ins and outs of your camera, this may be of interest to you! Golden Light on the Farm is a 2-day hands on learning experienced to meet you at whatever level you're at and help you grow as a photographer. It's okay if you are intended on working with clients, and it's totally okay if you just want to learn for your own personal life, too!

Day 1 includes an introductory lunch followed by a seminar on learning your camera - focusing mainly on the exposure triangle (Shutter Speed, Aperture, ISO). We talk a bit about composition and lighting as well. There is plenty of opportunity for hands-on practice which will feature the cutest highland cows you have ever seen at Still View Farm. The day will end with the class following me around for an in-person family photoshoot where I will demonstrate all of the techniques we just learned and capture a session just like I would with a client. I talk out loud about my settings, lighting choices, posing choices, prompts, etc.

Day 2 is a virtual editing class via Zoom. We dive into Adobe Lightroom and learn how to bring your photos to life! There is room for questions and I use YOUR images from day 1 so that you can see the potential there.

A lovely evening at Still View Farm

I had the sweetest time photographing this family over the weekend at the gorgeous Still View Farm in Grottoes, VA. The kids were absolute naturals & so well behaved!

Everyone showed up dressed so beautifully and handsomely, and it made the entire session feel extra special. was such a joy to work with.
