I'm gearing up this week to go up to Big Meadows in Shenandoah National Park! Hopefully the weather is as beautiful as this day. Over the years I've photographed couples and families at many overlooks on the drive and each one has a something beautiful and unique about it.

Ending this season with a heart full of gratitude 🤍

Sometimes I look at my life and think… this was once just a dream.

I remember sitting at my 9–5 after Abram was born, praying and asking the Lord to open a door so I could be present with him. I didn’t want to miss those moments. I wanted to be home… to be there.

And months later, God answered.

I saw the camera my husband gifted me literally collecting dust and thought,
“Maybe I can start taking photos… just as a hobby.”

I started photographing Abram.
Then families.
And slowly, something that felt small began to grow into a real dream.

Little side note:
I once said I would NEVER photograph weddings 😂
They felt intimidating and way too big for me.
But here I am… weddings have become one of my absolute favorite things to capture. God really surprises us like that.

The beginning wasn’t easy.
I sacrificed a lot.
Missed events.
Long days.
Mom guilt.
A lot of learning… and unlearning.

I prayed,
“Lord, if this journey will bless my family, keep the door open.
And if not, shut it.”
And He kept opening doors.

Now I look back and see His hand over my life and my business.
I get to be home with Abram.
I get to serve families and couples.
I get to capture moments that truly matter.

This isn’t just a job — it’s a blessing to my whole family.

I’m not always the best with words, but I am genuinely, deeply grateful.
For every family.
Every wedding.
Every story I’ve been trusted to photograph.

If you’re a mom (or anyone) with a dream on your heart:
Pray.
Ask God to guide you.
Trust Him through the scary parts.
Because with God, all things are possible.
Nothing is impossible for Him. 🤍

Closing this season with so much gratitude and so much expectation for 2026.
I’m excited to see what God continues to do in my family, my business, and every story I get to capture.
