There are some posts you never expect to have to write, and this is one of them.
After a lot of prayer, tears, and conversations with those closest to me, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to step away from track photography for the remainder of the 2026 season.
This wasn’t a decision made overnight. The truth is, the stress and burnout I’ve been carrying have finally caught up with me. With going back to college and it beginning in just a few weeks, along with my full-time job, I know I can’t continue trying to balance everything without something getting less than my very best. If there’s one thing I’ve always promised myself, it’s that if I’m going to do something, I’ll give it my whole heart. Right now, I know I can’t do that.
I’ll still be photographing the NEA Outlaw Showdown at JKC and the Brandon Mitchell Memorial at Old No. 1 before officially closing out my season. Those events feel like the right way to say “see you later.”
To everyone at Old No. 1 Speedway, Jonesboro Karting Complex, Bobby Humes Memorial Speedway, and all other tracks that let me come photograph at their facility, thank you.
Thank you for trusting me with your memories. Thank you for welcoming me into your pits, your grandstands, your victory lane celebrations, and even your heartbreaks. Thank you for every conversation, every laugh, every wave as I walked by, every kind word, and every opportunity you’ve given me.
What started as me showing up with a camera became so much more than taking pictures.
I found friendships.
I found encouragement.
I found a community.
I found places that felt like home.
Watching kids grow into confident racers, seeing families make memories together, celebrating victories, documenting milestones, and freezing moments that can never be recreated has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. I don’t take a single second of it for granted.
Stepping away absolutely breaks my heart because I love this community more than words can say. But sometimes the hardest decisions are the ones we make so we can take care of ourselves before we have nothing left to give.
This isn’t goodbye forever.
It’s simply me choosing to rest, heal, and focus on the next chapter of my life so that one day I can come back with the same passion and excitement that made me fall in love with this in the first place.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every track owner, promoter, driver, crew member, sponsor, family, and fan who has supported me over the last couple of years. Thank you for believing in me, cheering me on, and allowing me to preserve memories that will last a lifetime.
I’ll forever be grateful for every friendship, every opportunity, and every lap I was lucky enough to capture.
This isn’t the end.
It’s just “see you later.” ❤️🏁
Merch will still be given out once I have it in —I’m still waiting on shirts unfortunately:(
