There's something about watching your kid reel in their first catch that rewires your whole heart 🎣

For their mommy and me session, Ashley suggested fishing, because C is at the age where he'd much rather be doing something than sitting still for a camera. And honestly? That's exactly the energy we chase. No posed smiles, no "look here", just a mama and her boy knee-deep in the creek at Boiling Springs, worms, waders, muddy boots, and all.

These are the sessions we live for. The ones that don't feel like a photoshoot at all — they feel like a memory you get to witness twice. Once while it's happening, and once again every time you look back at these images. C will not be this small forever. He won't always want his mama untangling his line or steadying his hands on the rod. But right now, today, he does — and now it's frozen, forever theirs.

We LOVE making memories like this.
