It’s funny, the way we assume solitude equates to loneliness.

We’re told to spend more time alone with our thoughts so we can know ourselves better, but there’s a vulnerability about being seen sitting alone at a table set for two, as you wonder if your waiter pities you.

But sometimes the discomfort doesn’t come from how others view you. It comes from the silence, having no one to fill it, and being forced to sit with whatever’s been waiting beneath the noise.

And yet, what a strange kind of clarity to sit with all of it long enough and realize the person across from you is yourself, finally able to look back into your eyes, your heart, your mind, unflinching.

(All of these photos were taken in Philly and New York over a year ago, but edited today, alone at a coffee shop.)

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how we only get to experience a tiny fraction of history — just a blip compared to the centuries of people who came before us, falling in love, fighting wars, and leaving behind reminders of the recent and distant past. We get this one chance to see, learn, and take in as much of the world as we can while we’re here. However, it’s not just our duty to visit these landmarks and battlefields, but to understand the context in which they exist, to recognize the way these stories told in soil and walls resonate with the world as it stands today, knowing that soon, we’ll be the ones leaving behind reminders of our own existence.

To finally return to Puerto Rico as an adult was a dream come true.

It’s been 12 years since I was last able to visit and I absorbed so much; the culture, the beauty, the sense of adventure. From canyons to mountains, beaches to cities, Bobby and I did our best to experience as much as we could in just under a week.

I reunited with family that I haven’t seen in over a decade, learned more about the history of the island through centuries of war, discovered petroglyphs left behind by Taino people of the ancient past, practiced yoga in the most tranquil surround by dogs and rainbows, met some fantastic people in the two oldest towns on the island, hiked through the only rainforest managed by the U.S. Forestry Service, and the list goes on.

More than anything, this trip made me feel deeply proud to be Puerto Rican — to see and experience the island in a way that felt personal, real, and long overdue.

It was perfection, but how could it not be? Puerto Rico is an incredible place, shaped by resilient and community-driven people who make it unlike anywhere else. 🇵🇷

P.S. I have tons of photos to share, this is just a handful. Some pics were taken by Bobby, others by me. All of them are edited by ~yours truly~

I am honored to have been chosen as the latest cover story of the PennDulum, Central Penn College’s alumni magazine.

Without the fantastic education I received, I would not be where I am today, nor would I have such a fantastic future to look forward to. Read about how I gained my love for photography, the opportunities I was granted as a student at , and the experiences I’ve had so far as a producer and photographer at Fox43. 📸

Thank you to .minick for the beautiful photos and for the thoughtfully written article!

Last Spring, I was asked to photograph and on their wedding day; an afternoon filled with rainbow bouquets, disco balls, and so much love. 💐💗

There were many moments I had to take a breather and wipe my eyes, because their deep connection was palpable and radiated through every glance, giggle, and kiss.

It’s the kind of love everyone dreams of, and it was an honor to capture the magic between two people so clearly made for one another. ✨🌷

Life’s been pretty good... which means my photo output has been pretty bad. 😬

I’ve felt much more present lately, and I’m so grateful for the people around me who make it easy to be in the moment. But because I’ve been busy enjoying life, I’ve found myself less inclined to pick up my camera. And that’s made me realize something I’m not sure I’m totally ready to accept:

Photography is my escape.

And yeah, it’s amazing that I can lift my camera, look through the lens, and let my worries drift away. But realizing that it’s not my life source like I thought has been strange. It’s been my lifeline for so long, especially during my hardest moments. It was the thing keeping me grounded, giving me something to hold on to when everything else felt like it was slipping away.

But now that things are smoother, it’s clear that photography isn’t what fuels me the way I used to believe it did. Maybe it’s more like a safety net—a way to cope when things get tough.

That said, it’s also my passion, and what I’ve realized lately is that when I do pick up my camera, I’m more connected to my work than I’ve ever been. There’s a new level of joy in creating when I’m not using it as an escape. Instead, I’m approaching it with a clearer mind, a heart that’s full, and a love for the process.

Photography will always be a part of who I am, but now it’s something I can dive into with even more intention and creativity. The more present I am in life, the more I’m able to bring that authenticity to my work. And that’s something I’m genuinely excited about—because capturing those real, beautiful moments is what I love most.

Even the smallest challenges can feel overwhelming at times. “Finding your way out of a paper bag” may seem like a simple thing to do, but when you’re swamped with worry, responsibility, self-doubt and pressure, feeling lost is inevitable.

You become blind to the help and support available because you’re so focus on just making it through the day. It can distort your perspective and cloud your judgement, and everyday tasks feel nearly impossible.

In moments like these, vulnerability is key. It can bring you insight and clarity, and maybe even comfort. It can serve as a reminder that you aren’t “dumb” or “lesser than” for struggling. It’s a way to acknowledge your current limitations, identify the parts of yourself that need a little work, and opens yourself up to solutions and support you might have overlooked before. 🫂

Taking things to that weird next level is just what I do. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Over the past few years, many people have asked me, “Why ‘Freakshow’?” To that, I say: Why not?

I love macabre, quirky, unconventional, beautifully-ugly, and bizarre ideas. I won’t turn someone away just because their concept doesn’t fit ‘the aesthetic of my art’. For me, the best part of working with other creatives is the exploration, and if that means I get to answer ‘Yes’ to questions like:

“Can you take a picture of me while I pretend to iron my hair?”

then I will do it until I can no longer lift my arms to take the shot. 🤞🏼

(thanks again for the space!)

Between his moving lyricism and his impressive acting chops, is a Harrisburg arts powerhouse. After watching him read poetry outside a little over a year ago, I knew Adain and I would inevitably cross paths again to create something special. To celebrate the big 3-0 this year, he reached out to get some commemorative headshots. We landed on doing 3 themes (this is just one) and I really felt the trust that I would turn out his vision. 🤞🏼

Thanks to for allowing us to use your space and for all the assistance along the way!

Still not over these shots of .estep from last month. Who knew you can make so much magic in a random parking garage? 😍

What you don’t see is and standing on the sidelines cheering her on. The magic isn’t just in the weird, yet somehow awesome locations, but in the spirit brought by your community.

I felt so inspired in that moment, and it’s all thanks to them. 💕
