My career began at The Walt Disney Company, where I spent five years embodying the duality of a pirate by day and an event-planning, HR-savvy Cast Member by... also day. In 2009, I captured my first wedding with a camera in one hand and a dream in the other, and since then, my photography has graced countless genres—weddings, engagements, fine art, portraits, bo***ir, and children’s portraits—because why limit yourself? Accolades include being crowned Artist of the Week in Harford County, Maryland, and recognized as an Outstanding Alumni by Shepherd University, which makes me both humble and insufferable. Dannie + Matt are married!!

Saturday was such a genuinely happy day. The kind where everyone around them was fully in it with them, laughing, crying, cheering, and celebrating every second.

These two have built such a sweet life together, and getting to photograph this part of their story felt really special. There were so many little moments throughout the day that made me stop and think, yep, this is exactly why I love weddings. Like the slug. IYKYK. 🤣

Dannie and Matt, thank you for trusting Josh and me with your day. I’m so excited for you to see everything we captured!

Erin turned 40 and took everyone to PROM. And this crowd did NOT come to stand around just looking pretty. They came to PAR-TAY!

The dance floor photos alone deserve their own post, but for now, here’s a little sneak peek at a birthday celebration I had an absolute blast photographing!

Erin, thank you for letting me be part of this! If this is how you’re kicking off your forties, I cannot wait to see what the rest of the decade looks like.

This is (was?) my friend, Mr. CT — Chonky Toad — and I’ve seen him frequently and taken his photo and generally cooed over how chonky he is and how much I love him. So tonight I got home from an out of state shoot and there he was chilling on my porch.

I took a few photos of him, told him he was a cute chonky boy, then went up the steps. Little jerk tried to attack me! He hopped right into my leg like his royal chonkiness was enough to knock me over! Then he looked at me like I had mortally offended him after he bounced off my calves and landed haphazardly.

Sir, I don’t skip leg day and I have a low center of gravity. Nice try. You are now my nemesis, SIR CHONKS A LOT. More to come as the story develops. 🤣

It’s happening!!!

I have been working with an incredibly talented designer () over the last few months and I’m so excited to let y’all know that the new website design has been approved and is starting to go live!

In the meantime, you might see the website looking a little out of sorts as it changes over — this is temporary! I will let y’all know when it’s complete!

There is something so unbelievably special about your first love.

When I see high school sweethearts still together, it feels almost poetic. You chose to grow together at a time when you probably didn’t even know what direction you were growing yet. You became adults alongside one another, changing, growing, and choosing each other through every version that followed.

So many relationships can’t weather that kind of test of time, but Angie and Jordan have.

More than 20 years later, they’re still here, still choosing each other, with three beautiful and kind daughters who get to grow up inside the love story their parents started when they were barely more than kids themselves.

There’s something really special about getting to witness a love story that has already lived so many chapters and still has so much left to write.

A huge congratulations to Angie and Jordan! Here’s to more than 20 years behind you, a lifetime still ahead of you, and finally getting to call each other husband and wife. 🥂❤️

You know that moment when it’s 2am, you can’t sleep, and your brain suddenly remembers the 14 things you still need to do?

“OH. I NEED TO BOOK FAMILY PHOTOS.”

Good news. You can now just... do it!!! WOOOOOOO!

Ginger Snapshots® is moving toward self-booking for standard portrait sessions!

No emailing me for available dates.
No waiting 2-3 business days for a response.
No sending me three dates, finding out none work, consulting three other calendars, and beginning negotiations again.

You’ll be able to see my actual availability, choose your session, grab your date, and take care of the entire booking process whenever it’s convenient for YOU. At 2am. From the school pickup line. While hiding from your children in the bathroom. The booking system does not judge.

And when I say the entire booking process, I mean it! Online booking now includes scheduling, payment, contract signing, and your client questionnaire in one fell swoop. You can choose your session, reserve your date, take care of payment and paperwork, and give me all the information I need to start planning for you without waiting on a single email from me.

Your questionnaire is where you’ll tell me about your people, what you’re celebrating, what you want your photographs to feel like, your location ideas, wardrobe plans, the photographs that matter most to you, anything I should know to make your session comfortable, and even which model release you’d prefer. By the time your booking is complete, I already have what I need to start thinking about your session.

There are a couple of important things to know.

Standard Portrait Sessions are for individuals, couples, and immediate families of up to 6 people. Larger immediate families, extended families, multiple households, and other larger groups need some additional planning and will require a Custom Session.

Bookings will open 60 days in advance and close 7 days before the session date. More than 60 days away? You’re just early! Check back when your timeframe opens. Less than 7 days away? Email me! If I can accommodate a last-minute session, I absolutely will.

There are also a few types of sessions that need some extra care when booking. Extended family, pet, and bo***ir sessions are not included in my standard Portrait Sessions and are not currently available for self-booking. They each have their own needs and considerations, so they’ll continue to be booked personally through me for now. I hope to have dedicated self-booking options for all three very soon!

The goal isn’t to make Ginger Snapshots® less personal. It’s to take all the repetitive administrative stuff off both of our plates so I can spend more of my time on the parts of this job that actually should be personal.

Booking the dang photos should be easy. Creating them should be personal!

Easy where it should be easy. Personal where it matters!
