BEFORE (RAW photo) & AFTER (Edited using Lightroom Mobile)

I decided to play around with a random photo that I snapped with my iPhone 16 PM about 4 months ago.

The first image is the RAW, unedited photo & the second image is my edited rendition. The beautiful subject is my magnificent & photogenic daughter. 🙂✌🏼

These photos are nothing fancy and obviously not exactly “AMAZING” by any means, but that fact that a cell phone is capable of these types of spur of the moment shots while still showing little details of the moon still astounds me.

As someone who was born in 1987 (which technically classifies me as a “Millennial”), I must say that I just personally miss and remember enough of the good old days well BEFORE the smart phones started becoming a thing in 2007. At the same time, I’ve really enjoyed being able to witness the progression and transformation of technological advances as the years have passed.

I captured these photos late yesterday evening when my wife and I were headed to the grocery store. The first photo, believe it or not was taken from the passenger seat of a MOVING vehicle & through the tinted passenger window with my iPhone 16 Pro Max. The second photo (handicap sign & moon) was snapped after exiting the vehicle when we pulled up to the store.

What can I say?… I’m OBSESSED with taking Moon photos for some weird reason. 🤣🤷🏻‍♂️🙂✌🏼

I can’t believe I haven’t photographed & posted images of the moon since OCTOBER of last year. 🤯

Tonight’s moon (6/3/25) at 3 different zoom levels on my old Canon PowerShot SX40 HS. Very light edits applied using Lightroom Mobile to slightly enhance the details a bit.

As my father and I headed to the Houston Medical Center last Monday, we noticed & enjoyed the sight of the low lying clouds. I personally LOVE this look/vibe.

These photos were very spur of the moment & taken with my iPhone 16 Pro Max, but I feel like I was able to (in MY opinion) make them look pretty decent with some cropping and/or light editing in Lightroom. Not TOO bad for some fairly quickly snapped shots taken through glass in a moving vehicle (I was the passenger). 🙂✌🏼

A close look at the first 6 slides in a kit I recently received. For the close up photos, I attached a Sandmarc Microscope Lens (40X magnification lens with a built in ring light) over the main camera lens on my iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Each photo was done hand held, single shot in RAW format (at various zoom levels starting @ 1X and maximum zoom being 4.9X), then light edits were applied using Lightroom Mobile. 🤓🔬
