To our incredible, brave, and unwavering Q***r Family; we are here and love WILL win.
When Katherine and Brittaney became engaged 2017; they decided that 10/10/2020 was going to be their wedding date. Both wanted an incredible fall wedding and chose 2020 because of the phrase “hindsight is always 2020” after both had been married and divorced before meeting each other. After moving from New England back to Pennsylvania in 2018, Brittaney and Katherine started the planning process. Brittaney’s parents had a beautiful property for a location, her incredibly talented sister was going to cater the wedding, and Katherine’s closest friends were going to take care of the music. Everything was coming together seamlessly for the planning process except for one thing… a photographer. After countless emails, a couple of phone calls, and inquiries ending with being “ghosted” after revealing that there was going to be two Brides and not a Bride and Groom, things began to feel hopeless for Photography. Living in a rural area; both knew it was going to be tough finding a LGBTQIA+ Friendly Photographer but didn’t think it was going to be impossible. Then COVID starts and it seems like the whole world and everyone in it shuts down. Including all wedding companies.
Katherine and Brittaney ended up running away and eloping with a few very close friends, her cousin as the Officiant, their daughter, their friend’s kids, and one amazing freelance photographer/best friend. It was everything they didn’t know they needed or wanted in their wedding. It was the most perfectly “Them” wedding day.
You see our Q***r Community, despite incredible obstacles, crappy timings, etc. Love ALWAYS wins.
A few short months after the Wedding, Katherine and Brittaney were having dinner one night and started reminiscing about how their wedding came to be, and how much they’d wished they could create a safe place and offer services in the local area and beyond for other Q***r Couples and their families. It was here that the start of Adelynn Claire Collective was born. A few years later and some bumps along the way, we are here to say, we ARE a safe place for our Q***r Community, their families, and allies alike who want to be treated with dignity, respect, no judgement, and above all else, elegance. We WILL overcome this our Q***r Community. Love WILL win.
