That's a wrap on our first Virtual Production Jam at Forge! Our first installment featured summer fun, with a BBQ and camping setup, allowing participants to explore both 2D plates and 3D Unreal environments. We're so thankful to everyone who came out and made this such a success. Thanks to all the enthusiasm around this event, we're excited to announce VP Jam 2, October 24th, 2026! While filming a documentary on X-Games BMX medallist Matt Wilhelm, Charter.film had the brilliant idea to create a museum of his life. Normally a shot like this would have necessitated a rental space, a buildout, framing every photo, and a whole lot more. Thanks to virtual production, all it took was an environment in Unreal Engine and two practical walls that could be adjusted as needed.
