All day I have been trying to capture the dramatic storm clouds and had no luck. Slightly defeated, I was laying on the couch scrolling, when I noticed the living room light up with a sunset glow! I quickly said "be back soon" to my wife and pet the dog before rushing to the car. Down the road I went to find not only a beautiful sunset, but this rainbow!

I dunno why, but I'll sleep just a little better knowing I have a memory from this day 😊

Summer Greens!

When the days are longs, the light is harsh, and the skies are cloudless it can be hard to find inspiration. I try to remember that not every photograph has to be "dramatic". Find a pleasing composition, enjoy the moment, and take the shot 😊

A new edit on an old favorite! 😊

I took this photo back in 2019 and have yet to be able to recreate anything close to it. I still remember photographing the sunset and setting up my tripod. I took a step back and nearly stepped on this little guy. He was so still, quiet, and blended into the surroundings!

I took a quick photo from a safe distance and then headed out to let my new buddy relax!

When I first hit the trail, it was tempting to just snap the first view and move on. Instead, I forced myself to pause, slow down, and really look for a unique perspective. That’s when I spotted these two trees framing the path. Once the composition clicked, the magic finally happened.

While looking back through some old photos, I realized I love a good sun star! I remember the first one I captured and being so exited looking at the back of the camera. This is definitely a technique I need to remember more when taking photos! Here are some of my favorites over the years 😊

I've photographed just about every view within a 5 minute drive of my house, but this one keeps me coming back time and time again! If you visit though, leave no trace.
