Chipotle Hummus Recipes
* 1 (15 oz.) can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
* 2 to 4 tbsp. water
* 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
* 1 tbsp. lemon juice
* 1 garlic clove, minced
* 1 can of chipotle sauce
* ¼ to ½ tsp. salt

Instructions
1. Add the garbanzo beans, 2 tablespoons of water, the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, chipotle sauce , and ¼ teaspoon of salt to a food processor. Process until smooth and creamy. If needed, add additional water to thin out the hummus and ¼ teaspoon of salt to your taste preference.
2. Store covered in the refrigerator.

No-Bake Salted caramel Protein Ball Recipe

Yield: 8 Balls

Ingredients
1 Single-Serving salted caramel Protein Powder ( substitute protein powder of choice)
3 tbsp Peanut butter
2 tbsp Peanut powder
1 tbsp Raw Organic Maple syrup
1/2 cup of rolled oats
1/4 tsp Salt
Chia seeds for coating
Instructions
1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and process.
2. Roll into balls approximately 1.5" in size.
3. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Sapote Antioxidant smoothie

When I decided to transition my diet to all plant-based I was advised to find one farmer I love and become friend with them. Farmer Steve has been my favorite farmer so far. He has exposed me to fruits I didn’t even know existed like Jujube, Cher, and Sapote. What in the world is a Sapote?! Have you have any of these fruits before?

Sapote is an exotic fruit that originated from South America. It’s round with multiple seeds, soft like a pear but creamy in texture like a Banana with a very distinctive taste. Fortunately for me, it’s not too sweet so I can use it as a banana replacement in smoothie.

I paired the Sapote with an Antioxidant blend. The blendies are so convenient for an added nutrient to your smoothie with ingredient like dragon fruit, goji berries, acai berries, which all helps to fight free radicals. This action packed nutrients also promotes healthy skin, hair and nails. It’s naturally colored with beetroot, which contains vitamin A to boost the immune system.

Sapote with this blendie blended with yogurt and almond milk was a secret match made in heaven! Keep reading for this love affair recipe!

Sapote Antioxidant Recipe

Ingredients.

1 sapote fruit, cut and frozen
½ of plant based yogurt
1 antioxidant blend
½-1 cup of almond milk
handful of ice
Fruit of choice for topping
Chia pudding (optional)

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until it’s smooth and creamy. Topped with fruits and enjoy!

Vanilla Chai Smur-fait
What’s a smur-fait? Well you’re looking at it! It’s a blue chia parfait. My roommate who’s holding the parfait in the picture came up with the name smurf parfait pudding; for lack of better name I’m using his suggestion.

Chia pudding are not a secret in the vegan/plant based community, in fact I think its one of the most used super food in smoothies or parfait. My problem is I don’t like chia pudding. Am I the only one who doesn’t like Chia pudding? The texture and consistency is just not my favorite…. or so I thought. I accidently woke up one Sunday morning and created this recipe because I believe in multiple chances and different approach to making one recipe. An accidental recipe is now my only favorite version of chia pudding.
Blue Chai tea is a tea company located in Germany who sells organic color changing blue tea for baking, foods, and cocktails. The tea is blue when brewed but turns Pink/ purple when lemon is added. How amazing does that sound! A natural food dye that changes color when lemon is added. When one of my cyber friend told me I about it I was instantly obsessed, especially when I found out it turns pink. I’m a sucker for anything pink.

Vanilla Chai Smur-fait Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup Vanilla Almond Milk
1 tsp. Maple Syrup
1tbsp of blue chai tealeaf
1tsp vanilla extract
3 tsp. chia seeds
2 tbsp. plant based vanilla yogurt

Granola of choice (I’m using my homemade coconut Pecan Pie Granola)
Handful of berries or fruit of choice

1. In a small pot, pour the milk and add the tea. Stir it until the milk is hot and changing color. Set aside until it’s completely cooled.
2. Strain the milk to get ride of the loose tealeaf. Add the maple syrup and vanilla extract
3. Add the chia seeds to the milk mixture and refrigerate it for half an hour or more.
4. Once the seeds are completely soaked you’re ready to assemble you’re parfait.
5. Start by adding the yogurt in a cup or Mason jar. Add your chia pudding, then the granola, more yogurt, and finally the fruits.
6. Voila, Enjoy!

Part two of my breakfast: Nutchello poppyseed oatmeal.
Here's the recipe🌱:1/4 cup of oatmeal
1 cup of water
1 Tbs with maple syrup
1/2 tbs of poppyseed
1/2 cup of silk Nutchello milk
1 star Anise
1. In a pan, cook oatmeal and star anise in water until the oatmeal is soften.
2. Add milk, maple syrup poppyseed and simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Topped with your fruits of choice
4. Voilà! Enjoy

The most beneficial action are easily neglected or forgotten. I sometimes forget to drink enough water through out the day or drink my cup of tea in the morning because I'm in a rush.Did you know a cup of tea a day can save your life? One cup of tea in the morning:
1. contains antioxidants
2. has less caffeine than coffee
3. may aid with weight loss
4. may keep your smile bright
5. may boost the immune system
6. Herbal tea may soothe the digestive system
My all time favorite tea is perpermint so I made a purchase from few weeks ago and I've been loving it! 🌱

I am part of a cookbook collaboration initiated by , head and founder of the lovebooks project. "Cook 4 books" includes healthy plantbased recipes and tips about wellness and mindfullness as well as how to improve children's eating habits. All recipes and tips are submitted by the vegan community who support the lovebooks project.

All proceeds will go to the lovebooks project which provides quality children's books to schools, orphanages and libraries in Zambia as well schools and libraries in the UK. "The books reflect and celebrate todays multicultural society. Every child deserves to have access to books that evolve around characters that they can identify with.
