Sapote Antioxidant smoothie
When I decided to transition my diet to all plant-based I was advised to find one farmer I love and become friend with them. Farmer Steve has been my favorite farmer so far. He has exposed me to fruits I didn’t even know existed like Jujube, Cher, and Sapote. What in the world is a Sapote?! Have you have any of these fruits before?
Sapote is an exotic fruit that originated from South America. It’s round with multiple seeds, soft like a pear but creamy in texture like a Banana with a very distinctive taste. Fortunately for me, it’s not too sweet so I can use it as a banana replacement in smoothie.
I paired the Sapote with an Antioxidant blend. The blendies are so convenient for an added nutrient to your smoothie with ingredient like dragon fruit, goji berries, acai berries, which all helps to fight free radicals. This action packed nutrients also promotes healthy skin, hair and nails. It’s naturally colored with beetroot, which contains vitamin A to boost the immune system.

Sapote Antioxidant Recipe
Ingredients.
1 sapote fruit, cut and frozen
½ of plant based yogurt
1 antioxidant blend
½-1 cup of almond milk
handful of ice
Fruit of choice for topping
Chia pudding (optional)
Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until it’s smooth and creamy. Topped with fruits and enjoy!
