Have you ever experienced a moment you couldn't explain, but never forgot?

I created "A Sign From Above, 2025" after a quiet moment with this feather that made me think of my late father, Thomas Alvin Seard, Sr. It lasted only a few seconds, but the meaning stayed with me. That fleeting moment became this photograph. And it's dedicated to his memory 🪽

I don't know what it is about driving over the James River Bridge, but I have a sunroof, so I open it and roll the windows halfway down, and let the breeze fill the car. Looking out at the water, and seeing the Newport News Shipyard in the distance never gets old. I kept everything down both ways, and as soon as I got off the bridge, I closed it all back up and turned the air back on!
I edited the photo in a similar fashion as "Fishermen on the Pier, 2018" 💙📸🚗✨
