Our last flight for 2025. A quick volumetric job on the seacoast and saw this docked at the terminal. We are grateful for a very productive year and we're looking forward to 2026.

We've seen a lot of interesting and odd stuff while flying cell towers. From active nests with the remains of a meal to forgotten tools. This is the first time I've ever come across a troll at the top of a tower. Is it a sign of things to come....😜

Had the opportunity to do some serious testing with the DJI Mini 3 Pro while vacationing is Scotland. I was surprised how well this sub 250 gram drone handled the heavy wind gusts and the quality of the photos with the small sensor. I'll still reach for the Mavic 3 Pro for aerial photos but the Mini 3 (or 4) Pro is a great travel drone.

Pretty amazed with the technology available. Mapping flights are nothing new for us but we just flew our first site with DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise and D-RTK2 base station. Blown away with the speed, accuracy and quality of the photos. Processing in both Drone Deploy and Pix4D to perform soome comparisons.

Flight testing with the DJI Mavic Mini 3 Pro. I was concerned about the photo quality from the small sensor in this unit. Pretty inpressed with what it can produce in low light. Definitely not as clear as a larger sensor like the Mavic 3 but it's worth packing it on vacation. Flew pretty well in about 10 MPH winds too.

Taking some time up in the Great North Woods and had an opportunity to put the DJI M3T through it's paces. Sixteen degrees, flurries and moderate winds. Really impressed with the zoom capabilities of this unit. Video was taken at about 175 ft. AGL.

It's about 16 degrees here in Northern NH this morning. Flying in the winter can add some challenges for sure. Reduced battery life, wind, icing at higher altitudes and freezing fingers. As with all challenges, the reward is worth it.
