It feels like a lifetime ago that I taught alongside Shelby’s parents in South Korea. Back then, they were just learning how to navigate parenthood and I was just meeting the man who would become my future husband.
Fast forward through the years, Shelby and her family call Ecuador home, living among the incredible Andes Mountains and lush jungles. This summer brought them back to the U.S. to reconnect with family and friends - and somehow, we found a way to make this senior session happen with ONE day on the calendar.
Of course, it rained. ALL.DAY.
I kept praying those skies would clear so Shelby could have the beach senior session she had dreamed of, and God provided. Just when we needed it, the clouds parted, the rain stopped, and we got the most beautiful evening on Topsail Island.
And Shelby? She absolutely ROCKEF it!
What a gift it is to watch a family’s story unfold across years, countries, and seasons of life, and then get to freeze a little piece of it in photographs.
Here’s to an incredible senior year, Shelby! And here’s to a world big enough for adventures, but small enough to keep lifelong friends all around the globe.
