Today, we pause to remember. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, cookouts, or the unofficial start of summer. It is a day set aside to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country — the heroes who never made it home.

As a photographer, I often think about memories. The moments frozen in time. The smiles hanging on walls. The photographs held tightly by loved ones long after someone is gone.

Today especially, my heart is with the families carrying both pride and grief. The spouses, children, parents, siblings, and friends who cherish photographs, stories, and memories of those they love so deeply.

May we never take their sacrifice for granted.
May we live with gratitude.
May we remember well. ❤️🤍💙

Sneak Peek | The Wedding of Jack & Ashley 🤍✨

There are some families that become more than clients over the years… they become part of your story too. 💙

For more than 10 years, I’ve had the honor of capturing moments for this sweet family — watching seasons of life unfold, milestones pass by, laughter shared, and memories made. And today, I got to witness one of the most beautiful moments yet… Jack and Ashley becoming husband and wife.

As Ashley walked down the aisle toward Jack waiting at the altar, the emotion on both of their faces said everything. Tears filled their eyes as they saw each other, surrounded by the people who love them most. It was tender, joyful, heartfelt, and absolutely beautiful.

The entire day was filled with love and laughter — from matching bridal party pajamas while getting ready, to family portraits full of smiles, to the groom’s younger brother taking his “security” duties *very seriously* complete with a walkie talkie and earpiece. 😂💙

These are the moments I love most as a photographer… the real ones. The happy tears, the quiet hugs, the goofy smiles, the proud families, and the little in-between moments that tell the true story of a day.

Jack & Ashley — thank you for allowing me to capture such a meaningful chapter in your lives. What a blessing it was to spend this beautiful day with all of you. 🤍

Sneak Peek | Prom Night Magic ✨

Some moments just hit a little deeper… and this was one of them.

I can still picture Abby as a tiny little girl at church, standing up front singing with my girls — and now here she is, all grown up and heading to prom. Time truly has a way of moving faster than our hearts are ready for.

Abby, you are absolutely beautiful — not just on the outside, but in your kindness, your spirit, and the way you carry yourself. I am so incredibly proud of the young woman you’ve become. 💛

And getting to capture this special night for you and your sweet friend Kendall was such a joy! The laughter, the excitement, the memories being made — it was all just so special.

Sneak Peek | A Bridal Tea Full of Sweet Moments ☕💐

Yesterday, I had the absolute honor of photographing the most beautiful bridal tea in Mount Pleasant — celebrating the soon-to-be bride.

This family has been in front of my lens for nearly a decade, and getting to be part of yet another milestone in their story is something I never take for granted. Watching seasons change, families grow, and love deepen… it’s truly one of the greatest gifts of what I do.

This afternoon was filled with laughter, love, and the sweetest little details — from delicate teas (cherry blossom, pink lady, Earl Grey, and more!) to the most delicious bites… and even a few rounds of bingo (which I have to say was the cutest surprise and so much fun to watch!).

We celebrated, she opened gifts, shared stories, and captured moments that felt soft, joyful, and full of anticipation for all that’s ahead.

Soon-to-be Mrs. F, you are absolutely radiant, and it was such a joy to capture this special time leading up to your big day. 💛

As we step into a brand new year, my heart is overflowing with gratitude.

To every family who has trusted me to capture your milestones, your laughter, your quiet moments, and your chaos — thank you. Whether it was a wedding, a graduation, a family session, or a celebration of new life or new beginnings… your stories have truly stayed with me.

This year, I walked into homes and saw photos I captured still hanging on your walls. I stood at funerals where those same images became cherished memories. I’ve photographed men and families in recovery — capturing not just smiles, but strength. I've witnessed transformation, courage, and joy through my lens.

Sometimes being behind the camera feels quiet… unseen. But then a moment like this reminds me: these images last. They matter. Long after the chaos of the day is over, the memories remain — frozen in time, full of love, proof of belonging.

Sneak Peek | A Wedding Day Worth Braving the Cold For 💍❄️

Today was something truly special. I had the honor of photographing the wedding of the sweet oldest child in a family I’ve known and adored for years — a family that radiates love, laughter, and togetherness in every season (even this very chilly one!).

With wind chills somewhere around seven degrees, we bundled up, braved the cold, and made magic. This amazing crew were total troopers, smiling through shivers and holding each other a little tighter — which, honestly, only made the moments more meaningful.

Capturing this day, with this family, was such a blessing. It’s always an honor to be trusted with documenting memories, but when it’s a family you’ve watched grow over time… it hits differently. My heart is full.

Sneak Peek | Nearly a Decade of Memories

Would you believe I’ve been photographing this beautiful family for nearly ten years? From tiny hands to growing hearts, from silly giggles to sweet milestones — it’s been one of the greatest honors of my photography journey.

This weekend’s session brought together seven amazing kiddos (three now in relationships, and one newly engaged 🥹💍) — so much love and excitement in the air! We laughed, they played, we recreated old moments, and we absolutely froze in the 40-degree wind gusts… but we made it. And let me tell you, the joy was worth every goosebump.

When I walk into their home and see my photos from years past still hanging proudly on the walls, I could cry. Being trusted with these moments — year after year — is never something I take lightly. It’s a privilege. Every single time.

Today was something special.

A beautiful backyard, the roar of a Harley carrying the bride in with her dad, dogs proudly playing their part, and love that radiated through every single moment. I had the absolute honor of capturing this sweet couple’s wedding, and y’all — my heart is just so happy.

The bride's "soul" pup stayed right by their side the entire ceremony, laying down as if he knew this moment mattered most. 🐾 It was tender, joyful, a little wild, and perfectly them.

Sneak Peek | The Kind of Chaos That Feels Like Home

Last weekend, I made the trip to Clarksville to spend time with a family I’ve had the honor of photographing over the years — and they are truly something special.

From one of my all-time favorite weddings years ago to capturing moments for each sister’s growing family since… this sweet family has been in front of my lens more than once, and every time, it feels like stepping into something sacred and joyful.

This time? Pure, beautiful chaos. Kids running in every direction, giggles echoing through the air, shoes being kicked off, snacks being negotiated… it was real life. Our official shoot took place at the park, but let’s just say the little ones had their own idea of "posing.” So I did what I love most — captured the in-between moments. The messy, magical, unfiltered joy.

Back at the house, I snapped photos while the kids played, climbed, chased, and snuggled. And my heart soared.

I don’t have big, loud family gatherings like this in my own home — but for a few hours, I got to feel what that kind of vibrant love looks like. And goodness, it was beautiful.

Sneak Peek | A Master’s Degree, 20+ Years in the Making 🎓✨

This one means a lot to me.

Last weekend, I had the honor of photographing someone incredibly special — my beautiful friend from college. Over 20 years ago, we walked the halls of undergrad together, navigating late-night study sessions, big dreams, and all the growing up that comes with that season of life.

And now, more than two decades later, I got to stand behind the camera and capture her as she celebrates her Master’s Degree — not just any degree, but one earned with a perfect 4.0 GPA!

To say I’m proud of her doesn’t even begin to cover it. She is brilliant, determined, kind, and absolutely radiant — inside and out. Watching her chase her dreams with such grace and strength was a gift, and capturing this milestone was truly an honor.

Sweet friend, you are amazing. Thank you for trusting me with this moment.
