Found some lifer birds today at Santee National Wildlife Refuge! One of them was this Wood Stork. We found over 30 species of birds in our trip around the refuge. I definitely recommend this refuge if you are in the area! The Cuddo Unit of the Santee Refuge has a driving loop which is the one we visited today.

I was out searching for warblers and found this little dude taking a break or, perhaps, protecting the few blueberry blooms that survived the freeze from other hummingbirds. Don't let their small size fool you! They are incredibly territorial.
