Today felt quietly off-kilter.

The ambition is still there. The hunger to build, to create, to make my mark. But lately, it has been met by something deeper: a longing for slowness, for simplicity, for the kind of presence so easily lost in the churn of ordinary days.

So today, I quietly pressed pause.

Nothing felt more important than the picnic lunch packed so intentionally by little hands, the grass beneath us, our giggles between rounds of I Spy and rock-paper-scissors, wondering where the people passing by were headed next, taking in spring with all of our senses.

And for a little while, the weight of everything loosened its grip.

Maybe that is the tension I have been trying to name. The pull between striving for more and wanting to hold these tender, ordinary moments a little longer. Because in a world that feels heavy and uncertain, simplicity has started to feel a little bit holy.

Today, that felt like enough.🌷

Yesterday I shared a little about my focus this year on cultivating deeper relationships with families through the Motherhood Collective.

The same philosophy is shaping how I approach brand photography.

Just like a thoughtfully built brand is more than a logo, brand photography is about much more than photos of your product or service.

The strongest visual brands are built with intention. Strategy, styling, collaboration, and imagery that reflects the real work happening behind a business.

AMPED was a foundational brand shoot for business coach and team development expert Alexis Ducorbier, designed to create a strong visual starting point for the work she’s doing with leaders and teams.

But the goal isn’t simply a gallery of images.

“I wish I wouldn’t have taken my baby’s 1st Birthday Portraits,” said no mom, ever.

I’m not huge on the milestone sessions regularly during baby’s first year, but I do love a celebratory and intimate first birthday session.
