I’m so excited to finally share this Pinterest board vision brought to life!

Earlier this summer, I shared that I wanted to plan a creative shoot on the pickleball courts. As someone who doesn’t play at all but hears how passionately everyone talks about it, I knew it would be such a fun date night idea to capture.

After I posted an interest poll on my story, Amanda reached out and told me that she and Phil had just started playing this year and would love to help bring my vision to life. I first met them in the spring when I photographed their couples session at Sayen House & Gardens in Hamilton, New Jersey. This time, we traveled a little farther north to the vibrant blue outdoor courts of my dreams!

We arrived just before the courts filled up for the evening and had so much fun creating together. Creative sessions like this give me the chance to slow down, reference my inspiration photos, experiment with fractals and shutter drag, and try new poses without worrying if every idea will work perfectly.

Making space to experiment and try something new is part of what keeps me confident, inspired, and ready to bring even more creativity into every session I photograph.

Leaning into a calm Sunday evening off while Google Drive does the heavy lifting backing up my latest session for me. While that’s working in the background I’ll be enjoying a little take-out on the couch, listening to an audiobook, as a Summer storm rolls in. This feels like the perfect way to reset for the new week ahead.
