This week was one of the most rewarding weeks I've had in this career in the past 15 years. It wasn't because the homeowners prepped perfectly, or the homes were beautiful - it was because of the people. I had amazing conversations with 3 different grandparents who were moving to be closer to their kids. A couple who were moving to Texas because the wife got her dream job. I also shared a long heartfelt hug with a very emotional homeowner who was selling their dream home due to personal circumstances, and lent a shoulder and an ear as she cried.

Not all moves are positive. Some move due to sick family members, some move to be close to kids, some move because they can no longer afford to live there. But the point is - I get the honor of being the person who showcases the home that they're getting ready to put to market, for better or for worse. It's a small thing, but I take a lot of pride in it. I take pride in not only creating beautiful media for my clients but to simply be a good human when I walk through the door of someones home. Empathy + patience can go a long way in this business. On a side note, I got this email from a homeowner today + it made my week!
