A week ago we beat the rain with Ashley and Dan and made the most of some cloudy skies to get portraits outside. Being a good photographer is being able to throw the timeline out the window and go with the weather. Being a great client/couple is trusting the photographer to do what they do best ❤️ Thanks Ashley and Dan for being such a wonderful couple to start our year with.

It’s been eleven years now of laughter and tears, newborn babes and newlyweds with amazing brands, shops and restaurants sprinkled in.

Our hearts have exploded during hundreds of first dances and daddy daughter dances. Extended families have been extended even more. We waltzed and rocked and rolled with you on the dance floor. We’ve enjoyed all the buffet food you selected and definitely helped ourselves to the dessert table. We’ve watched men wipe away tears as they see their wives for the first time. We’ve watched moms holds their daughters close before letting them go down the aisle. We’ve taken your Christmas card photos and birth announcements. We’ve taken the photos for your living room walls and your heirloom albums. You let us preserve some of your most cherished memories. You’ve honored us by including us in your thank you cards and your social media shoutouts. You’ve written us 5 star reviews on any platform we’ve had. We thank you for that.

We’re best friends and biz partners -the sister team who loves families and the tiny moments in between and telling stories through photos. You let us photograph your changing lives and family stories. Now our story is changing too. You’ve been watching our families grow and move around this last decade and despite working through all of that and still providing you with 110%, we’ve decided it’s time for us to be just sisters and best friends and keep that relationship healthy first and foremost. It’s time we just support each other in this stage of mothering and embarking on our own family adventures. With a bittersweet smile we have to announce Walker Studios will be closing its doors at the end of the year. BUT that doesn’t mean you have to stop following our stories. Kay will still be rocking the New England scene, photographing here and there when she has the time,sharing her editing skills, and you can find her to follow her personal photography. On the other hand, the exciting reason we can no longer stay biz partners… Amy has moved to Florida! And is starting a brand new adventure there. So you can follow her and her new venture .

I kind of sort of love when the DJ gets everyone out on the dance floor with the bride and groom. To see them surrounded by all the people who love and support them fills me with so much happiness for them 🥰

Know what I decided after 10 years in business? That year 11 would be the time to play around, get more creative, think outside the frame. Happy new year friends! Thanks for putting up with our absence but I've been a little extra busy 😉🥰 My little man arrived on 12/22 but due to some days in the NNICU we didn't come home until 12/25. A perfect Christmas present to be home on Christmas though! Since then we've been adjusting to life with 2 under 2 and social media has been on the back burner. I wanted to pop in though and introduce the newest member of Walker Studios, Re*****on aka Remi ❤️

Tifa is one! So of course we had to celebrate with a little bit of cake and some family portraits in the park 🎉 she was a gentle little lady with her cake smash but it was cute nonetheless! Happy birthday big girl 🥰
