They were communing with each other. It was so beautiful, so strong, so connected and with so much love. It is such a powerful thing to see a bond forming. Moms get to do this from day one - conception. Sometimes, this is the very powerful awareness via morning sickness 😆. But mostly, it’s in the changing body.

This is what fathers bonding looks like.

It’s so WONDROUS

I feel like this is when I see god’s presence. And true goodness in this world.

I’m thinking about all the beautiful mothers. 

The older I get, the more that I experience and the more that I see what INCREDIBLE people you are. 

What I want to talk about is SELF-COMPASSION. 

Self compassion can be broken up into three categories:

1. It is KINDNESS to yourself in moments of suffering and challenging moments. It is directing kindness and compassion to yourself instead of self-criticism. 
2. It is MINDFULNESS. It is allowing yourself to experience the feelings (both positive and negative) without judgment. This looks like a lot of noticing and allowing the feelings to do what they do - come and go. 
3. It is the recognition that pain, failure and suffering are a part of the HUMAN EXPERIENCE. You are not unique (in a good way). 

SO

-Tell yourself that you are doing a good job!
-Feel the pride in your daily life.
-Do not judge yourself harshly or at ALL
-experience the feeling and let it go
-reach out to a friend that can give you an alternate point of view
-breathe
-forgive your failures

We are so much more than one moment and one failure.
