just the two of them and a summer evening.
I truly try to dive into the people I photograph. My work is simply a reflection of the people in front of me. Every couple has their own rhythm, their own way of loving, and their own little nuances that make them who they are.
At least that’s how I approach it.
Nothing about my work is perfectly consistent, because people aren’t. I pay attention to that and photograph accordingly.
I don’t walk into a session trying to recreate the same images over and over again. I capture what I see. I pose based on the way you naturally interact, not the other way around.
These two showed up telling me they felt awkward in front of the camera. By the end of the session, they were spinning around in circles and making each other laugh before I could even give the next prompt.
I do my very best to create enough space for people to settle into themselves and let their connection take over.
