Some bugs simply refuse to be overlooked. 🦗

Meet the Eastern lubber grasshopper—big, bold, and dressed like nature posted a warning sign. The black and brilliant yellow markings are incredible up close, but its sheer size was what made me stop. It was huge!!
Not exactly the delicate little grasshopper I remember from childhood. 😂

As the sun rose over the Gulf, the morning came alive. Gulls dove for breakfast, skimmers skimmed the water's surface, and if you watch closely... you'll spot a few unexpected visitors. 🐬

Stay until the end and see how many dolphin fins you can count.

Some places invite you to slow down before you even step inside.
The open gate, the centuries-old live oaks draped in Spanish moss, and the winding path all seem to whisper, "Come in."
The South has a way of preserving moments like this—where history, nature, and faith have quietly shared the same space for generations.
Sometimes the best part isn't the destination. It's the walk through the gate.
