A LITTLE BUSINESS OWNER REALITY CHECK. ❤️📸
I want to say this respectfully, but honestly, because I think it needs to be said.
My photography prices are already extremely affordable for the time, effort, experience, equipment, editing, and care that go into every session. I work hard to keep my pricing within reach for families who want beautiful memories without spending a fortune.
But please remember something: photography is my full-time job.
I don’t have another full-time job on the side because this IS my job. This is how I pay my bills, support my household, provide for my family, and keep a roof over our heads, just like anyone else who goes to work every day.
What you see on the other side of the camera is a small business owner who puts hours into planning, photographing, editing, communicating with clients, maintaining equipment, and running a business. The actual session is only one small part of the work involved.
I understand that everyone has a budget. I truly do. That’s exactly why I offer affordable sessions and mini sessions at different price points. I want families to have access to beautiful photographs without feeling like they have to spend hundreds of dollars every time.
But affordable does not mean my work should cost less just because someone asks. My time has value. My skills have value. My business has expenses, and I have a family to support.
Please stop asking me to lower my prices, make exceptions, or charge less than what I’ve already worked hard to make affordable. I wouldn’t walk into your workplace and ask you to take a pay cut for doing your job, and I ask for that same respect in return.
When you book with me, you’re not just paying for a few digital images. You’re investing in my time, creativity, experience, and the memories I help you preserve.
Every booking supports a real person, a real family, and a small business that I have worked hard to build. ❤️
