I knew one day I would have to make this post. I was hoping I would have far more time. Some of you had the pleasure of meeting Major in the last 10 years. When you met him he likely jumped around and pushed his butt up against you for butt rubs. You may have even gotten "gooed" by his slimy saliva from being so excited to see you! Either way he probably put a smile on your face. He was the best big smooshy face to ever live! He was always so full of energy and ALWAYS ready for a walk or a car ride. He was my shadow. No matter if I got up to use the restroom, he got up to follow me. He always put me in a better mood and knew when I needed him to be my weighted blanket.
We got Major when he was 8 weeks old and still very much a conehead little baby. I melted when I got to bring him home! I knew one day my heart would be broken by this tiny baby leaving my life. I wasn't wrong. Last Friday 7/11, we had to say our final goodbyes to our boy. He had been struggling for 2 weeks and his body just couldn't do it anymore. I knew he needed me to make that call. I know we gave him the best life and I fought like hell to get answers at the end.
I miss him so much and the house is so quiet now. I know when he got over that rainbow bridge Jax was waiting for him to give him a good ear cleaning (IYKYK). Until we meet again, I love and miss you, Major and Jax!
