This beautiful soul was lost tragically this past week. Paige was a client who made me smile from ear to ear with every interaction, every email, every session spent together. She always asked about my boys and I always saved her sessions for the end of my day so I could spend extra time just chatting with her about every day life, the antics of Roy, their beautiful home or her perfect outfit choices. At our last session, her toddler was being a toddler and she took it in total stride. I promised our sessions would get easier again one day and I’m truly gutted that I won’t get the chance to photograph or spend time with her again.

I am so devastated for her kind, endearing husband and beautiful, mischievous, energetic toddler son to have lost her.

A few inquiries have been trickling in every day for Christmas photos or gift certificates and while I’m so grateful for the opportunity, I want to remind everyone that I am firmly pressing pause on HLG Photography.

My new full time job is very consuming and while I wish I had weekends to spend with your families this year, I just cannot commit my time and energy to photography right now. Please know I’ve loved the time we have spent together and also I highly recommend TreeTop Photography (by Mary Kaye Girst) or Tilly & Tuck Photography - two beautiful friends of mine with varying styles and approaches but who would both be a joy to be photographed by.

I am going to miss my clients very much. I appreciate all of you more than you know and have truly enjoyed spending time capturing memories for your wonderful families.
You never know what the new year will bring so this isn’t goodbye, but definitely a see you later for now ❤️

Hey guys,

Lots of messages about weather for Saturday coming through, I’m very busy at my new job this week in some in-person training 9am-5pm each day. I am unable to reach out to all of you personally.
