Lauren + Whiskey 🧡🐕

So glad Lauren and her dog could come out to our farm for photos. I so enjoyed meeting Whiskey. He is so sweet and I can tell how they have such a strong bond. Our days with our pets are numbered. It’s so important to pet them a little longer, give them a hug and one more treat just because. What a gift they are to us from God.

Styled Session - Part 2

As L.M. Montgomery (who wrote Anne of Green Gables - my top favorite series along with the 1985 film version) once said, "I'm so thankful for friendship. It beautifies life so much. True friends are always together in spirit. Even when they are far apart, they share the same thoughts and hopes, and nothing can really separate them.”

Something about this session, the sweetness and joy (and laughter) really reminded me of the beauty of friendship. I am so thankful for the friendships that are near and dear to my heart both now as an adult and when I was younger. There's nothing like a friend who is a kindred spirit and who is practically a sister. 💜

When Bridgerton meets Pride & Prejudice // Styled Session - Part 1

I've been planning this session for months and I was so grateful to Erin and Lily being willing to dress up in pretty dresses, meet me at Berry Hill and pretend they were waiting for a handsome Bridgerton son to arrive to sweep them off their feet (or Mr. Darcy if you're a P&P fan!). So sweet capturing best friends having fun together while also celebrating femininity, whimsy and elegance. Aren't these ladies beautiful? They were naturals in front of the camera.

Styled shoots remind me to dream big and to really use my imagination. Sometimes it's a show, a song, nature and many other things that prompt me to really tap to my creative side. I believe we are meant to create. It's life-giving and energizing for me. This was so much fun. Part 2 coming soon! 💜💙

Thank you, Berry Hill, for letting me come and for being so great to work with. I look forward to another session there hopefully in the future!

Cuddles with lambs on a perfect spring day // Lamb mini sessions at Gregory Family Farms a few weeks ago was so sweet. Something about lambs that can bring out the inner kid inside of us. They’re healing, innocent, and so cuddly. Keelan eventually warmed up to the lambs and we got some cute ones of him! And my nephew, Elijah, was a little unsure of them at first too. I think he was more interested in tractors and diggers there than the lambs! 😂 I got to snuggle with them too. So precious.

Hi friends! I realized I haven’t even done a New Year’s post. Slightly behind considering it’s now March 😅 Well anyways, happy new year to all! Praying this is a wonderful year for you. So excited for what’s in store for WOF this year. From family sessions to legacy and to doing more video work and even some new projects as well, it’s going to be great. A few years ago I hit a slump and was just frustrated and disappointed in my business but God and how good He is has renewed my fire and love for what I do ten times over! 🖤

A good friend of mine gave me a book about faith and being a creative, and this really spoke to me: “In Christianity, it is our creative peoples that keep a finger on the pulse of the Spirit… we must never forget that creatives are possibility makers… God was the first artist to put something of himself into art, and we have all followed in that legacy. As humans and image reflectors, our imitation is to partner with God in the creative flourishing of creation. We are makers, because God is the first maker.” I LOVE that. So I hope this encourages those who are creative or are nervous and hesitant about pursuing a creative dream. You CAN do it. Cheering you on!! 🖤🤍🖤
