🩰✨ Tiny Dancers, BIG Magic! ✨🩰

We had SO much fun photographing the adorable little dancers at Tippi Toes Dance Company! 💕 From their sweet smiles and tiny twirls to their big personalities, these little stars made our job so much fun! 📸💖 Getting to capture their special moments AND watch them perform was such a treat. There’s nothing quite like seeing their hard work, confidence, and love for dance shine on stage! 🌟

And guess what?! 🎉 The next dance recital is coming up, and we are already counting down the days! We can’t wait to see these talented little dancers light up the stage again and capture even more magical memories! 🩰✨

🏒💙 A LITTLE COACHING, A LOT OF LOVE, AND A WHOLE LOT OF SILLY! 💙🏒

One of our absolute FAVORITE pictures to capture during our sessions is when we get to photograph the coaches with their kiddos! 🥹❤️

There’s just something extra special about seeing the hockey side of life meet the family side. These are the memories that mean so much more as the years go by!

And of course… we ALWAYS have to get a silly picture, too! 😂📸 Because while we love a good professional pose, sometimes the goofy smiles, funny faces, and personalities are what make the best memories!

Think photography is just showing up, grabbing a camera, and taking a few pictures? Think again! 😉😂

Our Visual Impressions crew recently hit the road from Gresham all the way to Seattle for a Sno-King hockey shoot! 🚗💨🏒 That’s right… when there’s a team to photograph, we’re willing to put some miles on those tires!

From packing up the gear and making the drive to getting behind the scenes at the rink, there’s a LOT that goes into creating those action-packed hockey images you see. 📸🔥

And honestly? We wouldn’t have it any other way! Getting to work around the energy of the rink, capture the intensity of the players, and be part of the action is one of the best parts of what we do.

🧚‍♀️🦄✨ A Little Bit of Fairy Magic & A Whole Lot of Unicorn Fun! ✨🦄

There’s just something magical about watching a little girl step into a world of fairies, unicorns, and pure imagination! 💕✨

Kali’s fairy unicorn shoot was nothing short of MAGICAL! From the twinkling details to the dreamy setting, every photo captured a little piece of her imagination coming to life. 🦄🌸🧚‍♀️

And let’s be honest… we had just as much fun as Kali did! 😂💕 Our photographers got to play, create, laugh, and bring this enchanted little world to life right alongside her. Watching Kali light up, explore, and have the time of her life made every behind-the-scenes moment worth it!

👑🦄✨ A little princess, a little unicorn magic, and A LOT of birthday sparkle! ✨🦄👑

We recently had the sweetest session celebrating Kaliann’s magical 5th birthday! 💕 And getting to photograph her made this one extra special because Kaliann is the daughter of our very own Visual Impressions team member, BreAnna! 🥰📸

For her princess session, we wanted to create something that felt straight out of a fairytale! 👑✨

So of course… we brought in a little unicorn! 🦄💗 And paired it with our beautiful woodsy backdrop to create a dreamy little enchanted-forest setting perfect for a birthday princess.

Between the twirls, princess poses, magical smiles, and a little unicorn friend, this session was EVERYTHING a 5-year-old birthday dream should be. 🌲🦄👑✨

We absolutely love creating sessions that let kids imagine, play, and just be kids while we capture those little moments they’ll someday look back on and remember.

🏈📣 Football, cheer, and SO many familiar faces! ❤️

We absolutely LOVE getting to photograph Sandy Youth Football & Cheer! There’s something extra special about being on the sidelines, capturing these kids doing what they love, cheering each other on, and making memories that they’ll look back on for years to come. 📸✨

And for us, it’s even more personal! Three of our Visual Impressions team members have kids who play through Sandy Youth Football! So when we say this community feels like family, we truly mean it. ❤️

We’ve had the privilege of photographing many of these athletes for years—watching them grow, change, gain confidence, and go from little kids in front of our cameras to the athletes they are today. 🥹

Getting to freeze these moments in time for families in our community is one of our absolute favorite parts of what we do. From the big plays to the touchdown celebrations, the intense game faces, the cheer routines, and all the little moments in between—we’re there to capture it all! 🏈📣💫

At Visual Impressions Photography, we believe you never stop learning, practicing, and perfecting your craft.

Behind every great photo is a whole lot of practice! We’re constantly working on our posing, lighting, angles, composition, and directing so that when it’s time to photograph YOU, we’re ready. 📸✨

We practice posing from different heights, angles, body positions, facial expressions, and lighting situations so we can quickly figure out what works best for each person. Because let’s be honest… there is no “one pose fits all” when it comes to photography! 😂

Our goal is to make sure every person in front of our camera looks and feels their best — whether we’re photographing a student on picture day, a senior, a family, a sports team, or anyone in between. ❤️

So while you might only see the final image… there’s a lot of work behind the camera that goes into getting that shot!

📸✨ Ever wonder what goes into school picture day BEFORE the kids ever step in front of the camera? 👀

It’s definitely more than just showing up with a camera! 😂

School picture day starts with A LOT of setup, testing, adjusting, moving, taping, plugging in, and probably a little bit of “wait… why isn’t that working?” 🤣

From multiple lights and reflectors to backdrops, cameras, tethered screens, posing stations, and ALL the cords (seriously… so many cords 😅), we build an entire mini studio right inside the school!

We take the time to get our lighting just right, make sure our backgrounds are looking their best, test our equipment, and create a setup that allows us to move students through efficiently while still capturing those genuine smiles and personalities. 💜

And then… the real fun begins! 📸

BreAnna joined the Visual Impressions team in April 2026 and has quickly become a driving force behind both our online presence and our day-to-day operations. As our Social Media Director, she helps tell the stories behind the smiles by creating engaging content that showcases the families, schools, teams, and communities we have the privilege to serve.
In addition to managing our social media, BreAnna is also a Photographer, Office Organizer, Customer Service Representative, and the team's trusted Floater—always ready to step in wherever an extra set of hands is needed. Whether she's behind the camera, assisting customers, organizing the office, or helping another team member stay on schedule, BreAnna brings enthusiasm, flexibility, and a positive attitude to every task.
Her creativity, willingness to help, and ability to adapt make her an invaluable part of the Visual Impressions family. No two days are ever the same, and that's exactly where BreAnna thrives.
Fun Fact: Around the office, BreAnna is known as the person who can jump into just about any role at a moment's notice.
