My Indiana Wedding Photographer couples have been such a gift. Every single one of them wants, appreciates and delights in candid moments of their guests enjoying their. They recognize the importance of their people and want their galleries to reflect the honest moments of all that happens around. There are so many moments on a wedding day that they miss and later get to witness throughout their gallery. If your people and their moments matter to you just as much (if not more) than the production of your wedding day I might be the girly for you.

An evening spent with Chelsea Hussey and her adorable fam left me considering how intimidating it can be to have toddlers and children photographed. We chatted about how, as parents, we feel the need to justify that our little humans are being just that, human. We agreed that kids are meant to be kids and moments deserve being captured regardless of the tears, the no’s, the running and chaos. When allowed to explore and delight in the things that make them feel at home, they come alive. Little Harper decided the rocks needed her attention more than mom and dad holding her, so we ran with it, and wouldn’t you know… this imagery is in totality, the life they live and love. Not staged, not perfect, just embodied and present as it should be.

One thing I can guarantee, and hope you know without a doubt, you won’t leave your session fearing I am irritated or judgmental about you or your children. Down to my bones, i believe there’s no such thing as uncooperative children. They just need the space to explore their autonomy and delight. And that’s why I’m here. To document all of life’s intricacies in love and let what unfolds, unfold.
