Micro blog because videoing in public with three kids is just a little too chaotic for me 🤷‍♀️😂

I had the hankering for some new flat lay accessories, so naturally I had to do a little browsing. I found the cutest tiny art frame that I’m already picturing tucked into wedding detail photos!

I also found a little storage pouch specifically for those dainty but VERY important bride + groom details that end up in my possession on wedding days. Rings, earrings, cufflinks, pins, etc. can now safely live in my handy little pouch instead of me having the mid-wedding panic of “wait…which pocket did I put that in?” 😂

And completely unrelated to photography but a little bit about me…I occasionally crochet, so I grabbed a new crochet hook while I was there 🧶

And of course…the viral headbands.

I tried to walk past them.

I did not succeed. 🤷‍♀️😂

Just a tiny peek into the things that make their way into my cart as a photographer, mom of three, and occasional crocheter. 🫶

🎄 CHRISTMAS ON THE SQUARE IS COMING BACK FOR 2026! 🎄

Last year we spent December making Christmas magic around the square and I’m thinking it’s time to bring these sessions back again this year ✨

Before I officially start planning dates I want to see how much interest we have!

Christmas on the Square will run throughout the entire month of December with session options ranging anywhere from a quick 15 minutes all the way up to a full hour 🤎

That means whether you just need a few updated Christmas photos or you want more time to slow down walk around the square and document your family during the Christmas season there will be an option for you

These aren’t limited to families either! Couples kiddos maternity announcements or just because are all welcome 🎄

If you joined me last year I’d LOVE to have you back and if you missed them this is your chance 🫶

Your detail photos don’t just happen. They’re thoughtfully styled. 🤍

One thing I bring with me on wedding days is my details styling kit. Inside are pieces I’ve collected specifically to help elevate your flat lays, including styling fabrics, ring boxes, dried florals, ribbons, trays, and other little elements that help bring everything together.

But here’s the important part. These pieces aren’t meant to replace your details. They’re meant to complement them.

Your invitation suite, rings, jewelry, perfume, shoes, vow books, heirlooms, florals, and other meaningful pieces are what make your detail photos yours. My styling kit simply gives me a few extra tools to create dimension, texture, and a cohesive look that fits the feel of your wedding day.

A little tip for my brides 🤍

Before your wedding day, gather all of your important details into one box or bag and have it ready for me when I arrive. This saves us from searching for individual items during an already busy morning and gives me more time to intentionally photograph them.

Some things you may want to include:

• Full invitation suite + envelopes
• All rings, including BOTH wedding bands
• Jewelry
• Shoes
• Perfume
• Vow books
• Veil or other accessories
• Something old, new, borrowed, or blue
• Any sentimental or heirloom pieces you want documented

And don’t worry about making it all “Pinterest perfect” yourself. That’s my job. 🤍

At the end of this video, I included a few finished flat lays so you can see how these little styling pieces come together with a couple’s own wedding details.

These photographs may be small pieces of your gallery, but they help tell the story of all the thought, meaning, and intention you put into your day.
