Great news! I've been asked by some Greenville Artists if I can set up a cost effective opportunity for them have their work professionally photographed. To that end, I am planning to schedule several collective studio photography days at different times through out the year; beginning December 16, 2015. The design of these sessions will allow every 2D and 3D artist, who can bring their works to my studio, an amazingly cost effective group rate; guaranteeing everyone superb reproduction quality images of their work at unbelievably great prices.

Contact me at hen793@gmail for rates and to reserve a spot.

And for those of you aren't familiar with my work; I have over thirty years working as a professional studio photographer. My client list includes the following museums and Art publications: The NC Museum of Art, The Greenville Museum of Art, The Cooper–Hewitt, National Design Museum (NYC), The Gray Gallery (ECU), The Rebel, The Smithsonian Magazine, and Archeology.

There are examples of the artist's work which have been photographed at Stindt Photographic to be found in the album,"Folio of Artist's Work."

In 2010, I was awarded a grant entitled “the Heart of Oaxaca.” where I proposed a return to Oaxaca to continue my inquiry into the spiritual nature of the native peoples as is expressed most clearly through their passionate festivals and ceremonies. Renting a one room apartment in the historic center of Oaxaca City during the holy month of December gave me the opportunity to witness and participate in an almost endless procession of religious ceremonies and rituals. Beginning On December 8th, there was the Festival of the Virgin of Juquila; December 12th brought the Festival of the Virgin of Guadalupe, the patron saint of Mexico. That was followed on the 16th by the Calenda of the Virgin de Soledad, the patron saint of Oaxaca. Next was the Radish Festival, and then the Posadas of the Buena Nocha (Christmas Eve), and then all this was concluded by El Dia De Los Reyes (the family oriented celebration of the three wise men) as celebrated in the Alameda Park, Mexico City, Mexico, January 2011.

While my original intent was transformed through my experience of being engaged in the Mestizo peoples’ sense of celebration, what emerged was a newer and more profound love for the enduring spirit of an often maligned culture. I had many antidotes and bits of historic info which I felt compelled to include here; but now I just want to get down to what is the “Truth” of my experience. Like most photographers, I follow the Light; but the Light I discovered in this last adventure to Mexico was different. Certainly my eye was caught by the clear, colorful atmospheric light of Oaxaca but what truly engaged me was the ‘luminosity.' By that I mean, the joyful light apparent in all the doings of these spiritually oriented peoples. I hope my images are imbued with a certain internal glow, a luminosity that conveys the passion in which the Mexicans celebrate their beliefs. This luminosity became the beacon for my photographer’s eye. It became a thread that wove all my individual experiences together into a much larger tapestry of celebratory events; not merely a collection of “decisive moments” but a collage which represents for me an expanded episode, an illumination of the potential of the human spirit.
