⨠A Quick Note on Editing Requests â¨â¨Iâve been getting a lot of editing requests lately, so I wanted to share this here to keep everything super transparent â what I already include in your gallery and what falls outside of standard editing.â¨(this is also listed in the prep PDF we send before your session as well as suggestions on what to bring to session to resolve some of these!)
â
What is included (things outside of your control):
These are the little things that just happen â and I take care of them automatically:â¨â˘ Color + lighting enhancementsâ¨â˘ Cropping + compositionâ¨â˘ Scrapes, bumps, bruises, red spotsâ¨â˘ Mild droolâ¨â˘ Background distractions (like outlets or random objects)â¨â˘ Minor flyaways, small clothing adjustmentsâ¨â˘ Removing parentsâ hands/arms when helping little ones stay safely in place
â ď¸ Whatâs not included (things within your control before the session):
These are things that can usually be fixed or wiped in real life in seconds â but take much longer to edit digitally:â¨â˘ Boogers or runny nosesâ¨â˘ Food, sticky fingers, dirt, marker or face smudgesâ¨â˘ Temporary tattoos or chipped nail polishâ¨â˘ Changing clothing colors or fixing wrinkled/stained outfits
⢠Lint or animal fur and things that can be removed with a lint rollerâ¨â˘ Changing hairstyles or smoothing major flyawaysâ¨â˘ Anything that could be cleaned, wiped, or adjusted before photos begin
đĄ If it can be removed in real life, it should be â before your session.â¨What takes 2 seconds in person can take 20 minutes+ per image in editing.
đ If you still want it editedâŚ
Totally possible! Extra retouching is available for a small fee per image â just let me know.
I love your children exactly as they are â wild curls, wobbly teeth, scraped knees and all. This is just so you always know what to expect and how to best prepare. đ¤
