Professional Photographers of America is a very impressive organization. About 26,000 members. They put on a great conference, provide a lot of training to members, either free or reasonable by top experts. Very well run. Large veterinary orgs could learn from their success. http://www.ppa.com/

High Key Photography is popular in high fashion shots of female models. I think it is cool with particularly ligher colored dogs. The background is lighted a bit more than the subject. The overall image is lighted fairly brightly. In this test shot, the background should be pure white when all is in balance. A lot of clients prefer medium to darker backgrounds, particularly with darker haired pets.
