In the spring of 2023, our crew landed in Honduras with BRIDGE CITY COFFEE and Prop, beginning what would be the three-year journey of telling the story of coffee. But not “here’s the process from farm to cup.” That’s been done. A lot. And well. We’re not about retreading.

We wanted to highlight a different way of doing things, the individual souls involved in the process, and the communities dependent on, impacted through, or served by… coffee.

From Santa Elena Honduras, to Los Angeles, to Colorado, to Chicago, to Sacramento… along the way we got to see community formed around the determination to take the path of most resistance to pursue the greatest good for the most people.

So we did get to see the coffee go from the farmers to the drinker… but more than that, we saw every hand the touched it along the way. And in the process, we saw people trying to imagine a better future and—in their own towns, neighborhoods, communities—build a more livable world.

We saw people terraforming.

Ultimately, this documentary only scratches the surface. But we still hope that it gives you a taste of the full narrative, so that if you do have the opportunity to experience this coffee, you have a little better of an understanding of who it took to get to you.

We see a lot of GSP International Airport. And not just because it’s where our crew flies out of any time we’re traveling, but also because for the past 6 years we’ve had the joy of creating multiple campaigns with their team.

Our latest commercials are airing now and feature some very fun and different creative from the GSP team and great performances from our awesome cast who couldn’t be stopped: through wind and rain and heat… they always looked good and delivered.

(And the crew did too, of course).

We think the joy of creating shows through in the work. We love to create something unexpected. Those two desires came to life in our project with Tango

They approached us about creating video content for them. As an upstart with rapid growth plans and actively establishing branding, market, and advertising that was different and quirky, they “cut us loose” to dream up some ideas.

We thought it would be fun to play around with the “vertical drama” format. But it had to be self-aware, on-brand, and still deviled certain core values and key messaging for Tango.

The result was Johnny Tango: a six-part vertical comedy that we wrote and produced. Featuring a relentlessly positive Tango employee, a maniacal ousted exterminator, and an aggressive raccoon puppet.

We had so much fun playing around with this format… we think we’ll have to try it out again…

Fun fact: it’s blazing hot in Florida all the time.

Our cast of actual firefighters were incredible, sticking with us for long takes in gear, driving big engines around as we attempted to get our cabin fly-through oner. I’m incredibly proud of how this spot for + and couldn’t have done it without a cast, crew, and client that were down to do whatever it took to make this thing great.

“The Operator”
Just a few grabs from our latest commercial for SAM Waterflow 💦

This one was a fun one, working with a real fire crew on their training grounds and getting to “smoke it out.” Using the Ronin 4D allowed us to get closer to the action, as we learned to push the camera to its limits with a small and nimble crew.
