24 hours in Fukuoka Japan 🗾

I landed in Fukuoka Japan on April 7 at 1pm and was immediate greeted by my parents. It had been almost 2 years since seeing them last. They’re missionaries in Sasebo, Nagasaki Japan, and I’m so incredibly proud of them and the ministry God has called them to.

Fukuoka is one of my favorite cities. We had a whole day to explore after landing, plus we stayed the night, so we got to explore more before heading to my parents house in Sasebo.

I’ve been to Japan countless times and have also lived in Japan. This is my very first time ever seeing Mount Fuji so clearly in the springtime with flowers.

Rosalie Pearl is a beautiful pearl! 💕 My niece is 14 going on 20. Her heart is kind, she thinks of others before herself. She’s observant and so full of insight and wisdom for such a young lady. She sure has taught me a lot in the last several years.

She loves I just had to style her when we went to the mall. This outfit was a winner and of course Auntie Jasmin had to do an impromptu photoshoot. 😊📸 What a cutie! 😍

Wow, full circle ⭕️😍🙏🏽
All of my careers since graduating college have come full circle. I now use my past medical degree and career experience on set as an Executive Producer in the healthcare industry.

Wow! Talk about, “the Lord works in mysterious ways!” I absolutely loved my career in physical therapy. I was both excited and uncomfortable when Jesus called me out of it and into a creative (unrelated) career. It’s been, 10 years since stepping away from a full-time PT career. Overwhelming emotions and feelings of gratitude swept over me as I stepped onto a film set in a PT clinic just a few months ago.

We will never know what God is doing in the present and future, but hindsight is 20/20… “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬ ‭

2025
A year of stretching, surrendering, rebuilding, and rising. I walked through seasons I didn’t expect; some that slowed me down, some that pushed me forward, and others that reminded me exactly who I am when everything else feels uncertain. I learned how to trust God deeper, listen closer, work with more intention, and show up with honesty, even when it felt uncomfortable. I stepped into new roles, new projects, new communities, and new versions of myself.

I thought about posting a carousel of highlights, but the truth is, my biggest highlights this year happened on the inside, off camera.

This year taught me to abide and be expectant on Christ, trusting in His plan for me. He also brought me confidence in my craft, boldness in my career, resilience on the bike, work/life balance to be present with my family and gratitude for every person who poured into me, rode with me, created with me, believed in me, encouraged me, or simply showed up in my life.

I’m ending 2025 with a thankful heart, grateful for the opportunities, the lessons, the quiet (and loud) prayers answered, the unexpected doors that opened, and the strength to keep going when it sometimes felt easier to stop.

All by the grace of God.

Here’s to deeper faith, more freedom, more growth, more creativity, and more joy in 2026.

Just me and my mini at this past 👯‍♀️
It’s been so fun having my niece Rosalie as my photo assistant during my last few shoots. She enrolled in 8th grade media/yearbook class this year and has gotten more and more interested in photo and video production. She’s been great doubling as my BTS photographer too! Love watching her learn how to shoot in manual and figure out the best composition for images.
