Got out to snap some photos of Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS last night. If you have a clear view to the west you can see it for the next couple nights at about 7:45-8:00....

It's almost time... Whataburger will be opening it's first location on Woodruff Road this summer. Another is planned at the other end of Woodruff Road at the location of TGIFridays. It's been fascinating watching this old KFC building being transformed into that burger place that most of us love. Going to do an update video here this weekend.

Finally a new photo. It has been a while. Will try to do more photos in the future!!!

Friday night was the first time that I went to Caesars Head State Park in South Carolina. It was a cool crisp 62 degrees, which was a bit chilly for me with no jacket. At 3,215 feet the overlook has views overlooking most mountain vistas in the area. While waiting for the sunset I even got a glimpse at the International Space Station as it zoomed over head. The sunset was one of the most spectacular that I have seen, only to be rivaled by the sunsets at Clingman's Dome in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. As dusk turned into darkness the night lights of the surrounding areas started to illuminate. You could see Greenville, Clemson, Spartanburg and everything in between. This will be my new go to place. Next full moon I will be there to witness a moon rise. That has to be spectacular.

Built in 1909 by Charles Irwin Willis, the Campbell's Covered Bridge located in northeastern Greenville County, South Carolina, is the last remaining covered bridge standing in the state. It is owned by Greenville County and was closed to motorized traffic in the early 1980's. It is also listed on the National Register of Historic places on July 1st, 2009.

The Campbell's Bridge is 38 feet long and 12 feet wide. The design of the bridge is the Howe Truss design and features vertical iron rods and diagonal pine timbers.

I shot this bridge in the early morning hours, mainly the first three hours of the sunrise. Shot with the Sony a6000 at 1/250th of a second at f/6.7 at a focal length of 20mm. I used Adobe Lightroom to color grade the photo and then used Adobe Photoshop to add a tilt shift effect to the picture.
