Introducing: the pool party 🛟 The day after their big celebration the couple decided to host a small gathering with their closest ones, and boy was it a very colorful and fun one! Leaning into yellows, blues and reds, they wanted an electric design to match the fun celebration.

Tammy & CJ closed out their reception with the sky lighting up over the Altos de Chavón amphitheater. Dance floor still packed.

Tammy & CJ kicked off three days in the Dominican Republic at Minitas Pool Deck, Casa de Campo, and nobody wasted time easing into it.

With the most perfect sunset over the ocean they welcomed their guests with a tropical disco inspired affair. This wasn’t a polite “meet everyone and go to bed early” welcome party. This was the appetizer : 3 days of Tammy & CJ doing exactly what they wanted, exactly how they wanted it: loud, warm, and a little chaotic in the best way.

The coupled tied the knot with perfectly clear skies, and surrounded by the deep blue sea. The people they love most in the world seated between palm trees and white roses on the lawn of Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic.

Part Three. The party.

The ceremony was beautiful. The reception was extraordinary. And then the sun went down, the sparks came from the ceiling, and Joy and Giorgio walked onto the dance floor as husband and wife.

Joy disappeared for a few minutes and came back in her second look: A short lace dress.

At some point, through the music and the dancing and the crowd, the speakers played Where The Hell Is My Husband.

She went to find him.

He was exactly where you would expect Giorgio to be, right in the middle of all of it, having the best night of his life.

Part Two. The night Joy and Giorgio built from scratch.

Joy and Giorgio knew what they wanted. White and cream throughout. Roses everywhere, Joy’s favorite. A reception that felt classic and elevated, rooted in Las Terrenas, one of their favorite places on earth.

They brought that vision to Melissa at VivaL'Festa: DESTINATION WEDDING PLANNERS. And then she went to work.

Let’s start with the serpentine table. Instead of separating the couple from the people they love most, she sat their closest friends at the same table, chandeliers suspended above, roses and baby’s breath cascading from the ends down to the grass, candles at their feet. The circular tables for the rest of their guests wrapped around the real palm trees on the lawn, every one of them facing the dance floor.

The bar was their ask: something that felt like a lounge, elevated, with exceptional finishes. Their team hand-painted the top to create a faux marble finish that elevated the whole piece exactly the way Joy and Giorgio had imagined.

Welcome to Joy & Giorgio’s wedding day.

Joy looked everywhere for this dress.

City after city across the US and nothing felt right. Then she came across a store in Rome on Instagram and in their stories, there it was. Galia Lahav. She booked a flight, tried it on, and knew immediately.

On July 25th she wore it in Las Terrenas. One of her and Giorgio’s favorite places on earth. Their closest people had flown in from all over the world for this day.
Giorgio, who is always the warmest person in any room, could not hold it together when he saw her. 💘
