Raeeee!!! Happy Birthdayyyy boo!!!! 💕

I lowkey always get nervous when I receive concept photos bc I never know how it’ll go and it always requires me to tap into more of my creative side!! So when my cousin Raeana chastine reached out to me and was like I want you take my birthday pics and this is my idea I was like oooohhhhhh!!!!!

My cousin is beautiful & she ABSOLUTELY came with it for her session!!!!

One thing about me…I’m never going to stop learning. 💬

On Friday, I attended a lighting workshop with Caleb Estell - Greenville Photographer at Wyld Light Studio, and I left feeling inspired all over again.

I’m self-taught, so much of what I know has come from picking up my camera, trying something, getting it wrong, figuring out why, and trying again. But there’s also so much value in sitting in a room with someone willing to share what they know and being open enough to learn.

We worked through several lighting setups, and I loved seeing how the same model and outfit could feel completely different just by changing the light. Soft. Clean. Moody. Dramatic. It pushed me outside of what I naturally reach for and gave me some new things to play with.

No matter how long I do this, I never want to become so comfortable that I stop being curious. I’m proud of what I created, and I can’t wait to keep practicing and bring more of what I learned into my future sessions.

Holiday photos with little ones are rarely about everyone sitting perfectly still, and honestly, I wouldn’t want them to be. It’s the giggles, the cuddles, the toddler wiggles, and those quick in-between moments that end up feeling the most like your family.

Listen, sometimes making an image “pop” has less to do with editing and more to do with slowing down long enough to notice what’s already happening around you. I took this photo outside Penn Station on my iPhone and made absolutely no adjustments to it. The lights, colors, wet pavement, and reflections were already creating the moment.

I just simply had to stop, take it in, and frame it. You don’t always need a professional camera or a complicated editing process to create a strong image. Sometimes, you just need to pay attention. 😉🗽

Two days. 😬

It’s hard to believe we’re almost here & at the heart of it all, this event has always been about creating space for women to simply pause.

If life has felt nonstop lately, if you’ve been carrying more than you’ve let people see, or if you’ve just been craving a moment to breathe, I hope you’ll join us.

Grace & Grit: Power in the Pause isn’t about having everything together. It’s about giving yourself permission to slow down, connect with other women who get it, and leave feeling encouraged instead of depleted.

The closer we get to the brunch, the more I find myself questioning everything.

Will it be good enough for the women attending?
Will the decor be enough?
Will the ladies leave feeling seen?
Will this day be everything I’ve been praying it will be?

And if I can be honest, this is the part no one really talks about. The closer you get to something you’ve poured your heart into, the louder doubt can become.

But then I’m reminded that this event was never about creating a “perfect” experience and more about creating a meaningful one.

If one woman walks away feeling less alone…
If one conversation changes someone’s perspective…
If one pause becomes the beginning of someone’s healing or next chapter…

Then every late night, every decision, every moment of wondering if I’m enough will have been worth it.

So I’m choosing to trust what God has placed in my hands instead of chasing perfection.
