The last two months of preparing for events have been a good reminder of how much can happen creatively when you push yourself.
Working at a faster pace has meant getting out of familiar routines, experimenting more, and sometimes figuring things out as I go. What started as a time of simply trying to make enough work has turned into something creatively energizing.
There’s something about carving out more time to make that opens the door to new ideas. One project leads to another, little experiments turn into possibilities, and suddenly the list of things you want to try is longer than the time you have to try them.
These are a few little pieces I was working on last week. They’re still in the in-between stage, waiting for their final trip through the kiln.
This season has already left me itching to get back to the studio and explore some new ideas. A good reminder that sometimes, making more creates room for something new.
