My honest opinion… if you have to splurge on anything, make it newborn photos.🤍 This is the smallest they will ever be and I promise, you will never regret booking the session.

So many of my new parents come back a few months later and talk about how much their babies have grown since their newborn photos. And it’s so true. You blink and suddenly they aren’t your cuddly tiny newborn anymore.🥺

A little backstory on posting these because this session was actually a while ago. I searched “newborn” in my camera roll to find these photos and let me tell you… the EMOTION that flooded me when my phone pulled up all the photos of both of my boys as newborns.🥺 Time is such a thief.😭

So here’s your sign to schedule the newborn session. From a mom of two toddlers who would give anything to freeze those tiny newborn days for just a little longer.🥲❤️‍🩹

This venue was one I had been looking forward to shooting at all year, and it definitely did not disappoint!

One question couples sometimes ask when they inquire is whether I’ve photographed at their venue before. While having experience at a venue can be helpful, I honestly don’t think it’s a necessity. Sometimes I actually love walking into a venue for the first time. It pushes me to see the space with fresh eyes and be creative, rather than recreating images from past weddings.

If it’s my first time at a venue, I always make sure to arrive early and explore the property before the day gets going. Honestly, I only have a handful of venues each year that I photograph regularly. Most weekends, I’m working somewhere completely new. It’s one of the things I love most about this job.🖤
