The Big Boy came through Greensburg, PA on July 11, 2026. This was a once in a lifetime to have this train make a trip across the USA for the 250th Anniversary.
The Union Pacific Big Boy is a massive, articulated 4-8-8-4 steam locomotive, and No. 4014 is the world's largest operating steam engine. Built in the 1940s by the ⁠American Locomotive Company, these giants measure 133 feet long and weigh 1.2 million pounds.
