Your senior session doesn’t have to fit into one aesthetic. 🤍

You can be the girl who loves flowy dresses and vintage band tees. The athlete who also loves getting dressed up. The nature lover who feels just as at home downtown.

The best senior galleries aren’t about following trends—they’re about telling your story.

Swipe through these 9 senior session vibes and see which ones feel the most like you. (Spoiler: you don’t have to choose just one!)

✨ Save this for outfit inspiration.

You told me you want wildflowers for your senior session — and you're willing to come to Winston-Salem to get them?! 🌸

YES. Let's do it!

I've had senior girls drive from all over North Carolina and Virginia for these blooms and honestly, I'm obsessed with every single one of those sessions. There is nothing like golden light + wildflowers for a senior gallery.

Here's what you need to know:

there are two windows I always recommend for wildflower sessions — late April/early May and August/September. I can pretty much guarantee something is going to be blooming that will absolutely wow you during both of those times.

If wildflowers are your vision, DM me and let's get your date on the calendar before those spots are gone. 💫...

For my girls who love open fields, wide skies, and sunset glow over the pond… this is where it all comes together ✨

Sundresses in the grass, cowboy boots at your feet, golden light on your skin, and a session that feels effortless, natural, and alive. The kind of evening that feels less like posing and more like a memory unfolding.

If this feels like your kind of magic, I’d love to create it with you 🤍

Working from the pool this morning while the kids swim and another mom hops on a Zoom call next to me… and honestly, this is summer work life right now ☀️💻

Some days it’s the pool.
Some days it’s the car on a long drive to the grandparents (don’t worry, brian driving)
Sometimes a coffee shop if I’m lucky.

It’s like a game of working Tetris—fitting emails, edits, and client calls into all the in-between moments of motherhood.

Not always pretty. Not usually quiet.
But it works… and I wouldn’t trade this season for anything 🤍

I just loved Gabi’s dress—such a unique piece that paired so perfectly with the daisy field at sunset. Statement pieces like this add so much personality to your session and truly make your photos one of a kind.

I’ve been getting so many inquiries for my 2027 seniors lately—and if you’ve been thinking about reaching out, now is the time. My wildflower dates are almost gone, and fall is already filling quickly (12 sessions booked and counting!).

If you’re unsure when to schedule your senior session, it really comes down to the vibe you love most:

✨ Dreaming of golden light, sundresses, and warm summer tones?
Think July through September with those dreamy orange and yellow wildflowers.

🍂 Love cozy layers, rich colors, and crisp air?
Late October through November is perfect for those fall vibes.

🌸 Want soft blooms, cooler temps, and cap + gown photos before graduation?
April and May of your senior year are such a sweet, meaningful option.

There’s truly no wrong choice—just what feels most like you.

If you have questions or want help deciding, send me a DM or submit an inquiry. I’d love to help you plan something beautiful 🤍

Y'all. It's graduation week! 🎓🎓🎓

And it hits different when you're the one holding the camera for it.

Because it's not just one feeling. It's all of them at once. Pride and excitement and something that kind of aches a little, the quiet weight of a chapter closing. And it's not even my chapter. (I mean, it is — in a way. These families let me in during it, and that matters more than I can say.)
I've been watching these seniors walk into their sessions for the last several months. Nervous at first — some of them — and then something shifts. The camera disappears. They get comfortable. And for an hour or so, they just are exactly who they are right now, in this exact moment that won't exist again.

That's the thing about transitions, right? They're only this ambiguous in the living of them. Looking back, the line is always clear. But when you're in it — excitement and grief sitting right next to each other, neither one wrong — that's the real thing. That's what I want to hold for these families.

Not just a pretty photo. The in-between.

If you are a 2027 senior, my calendar Ibookimg up through December, so dont wait to get senior photyou afs actually obsessed with 🤍

Y’all. FIVE years with the Veach family and they drove across state lines to make it happen! 🙌

They came down from Indiana to Asheville for their spring break and said “Kelly, we want photos in the mountains.” So naturally I sent them a trail map for Black Balsam K**b, warned them it was .8 miles straight up, that late March at this elevation means cold and wind, and oh by the way — their kids are 4 and 7. 😅

They didn’t even hesitate.

So up we went. All of us. And while we waited for the sun to drop low enough to make everything glow, we made a kitchen out of sticks and leaves and honestly, those kids could have stayed up there all day.🧑‍🍳

Then the sun hit that ridge and everything went golden and I stopped breathing for a second. 🌞

We hiked back down in the dark with headlamps and handfuls of candy and two kids who earned every single piece of it. 🍬

This is what it looks like when a family shows up fully. When you stop trying to get a “nice photo” and just actually make it an adventure together — that’s when the images hit different. These aren’t photos you forget about on your phone. These are the ones you frame.

If you want photos you can actually feel — the kind that make your heart do something on a random Tuesday when you walk past them on your wall — DM me. I’m booking family sessions now through November and I would love to make something like this with your family. 🏔️
